What a Gem!! Found this city campground one day before our arrival. Jump on the Wabash Trace bike trail right from the campground. Sites one through seven are back in, 60 feet in length, with 50 amp service and water hook up.Site eight through 13 are 70 foot pull through with 50 amp service. All sites are level. There’s a dump station at another city park that is five blocks from the campground. We camped here in a 39 foot class a motorhome.
Aug 15, 2023 · Mark MikeschSimple, small campground in Malvern. Good location, right next to the Wabash Trace trail and walking distance to downtown area. The four sites next to the pond have water hookups, other sites have shared or no water access. Dump station is several blocks away off-site at W First St & Fifth Ave. Can make reservations by calling Malvern City Hall.
May 20, 2023 · Dan BeecherThere aren't any facilities but in this day and age that's ok with me. There are hookups for water/electric.The campground is very well maintained and it's a short walk or bike ride up the street to downtown Malvern. The grocery store has a lot more than you might expect and the restaurants are also worth a visit. You can get to the Wabash Trace Trail from the campground. I ran it to Council Bluffs, back to camp, then to the opposite end. There are so many cool towns that you can stop at to resupply/re-nourish.
Jul 21, 2020 · Stacey Shaver-MatsonA great place to picnic, fish or walk. Easy access to the Wabash Trace bike/walking trail. Small play area for kids. Never been camping here so I can't comment on that.
May 11, 2023 · Lynne PorterBe aware that there are two agricultural chemical companies which surround the campground. One time my family and I were camping and we had to evacuate the campground. We were in our car and had just arrived at the campground. I hopped out of the car and noticed the burning of my eyes and lungs right away. I looked across the road at the Agriland business to see one of the huge tanks leaking and a cloud of androgynous ammonia in the air. We hopped back in the car and took off right away. I called 911 and fire trucks came to knock the chemical down and close off the road. Many other times I can smell a hint of androgynous ammonia in the air around the Wabash Trace bike trail which is also near by at Heartland Cooperative. Otherwise it is a nice place to be and conveniently located by the trail.
