Blue River Campground Reviews
We stayed at site 7, and there was little shade but a beautiful view of the hills and sky. Unfortunately, there is no access to the Blue River unless you go through other camp sites. The bathrooms are well maintained! The host was kind, and there is plenty of room between camp sites to not be bothered or bother others. There are a bunch of hikes and a few fishing spots nearby. Far enough from SilverThorn to feel in the wilderness and close enough to get anything you may need or want!
Jun 26, 2025 · Siarra FreemanA nice spot, especially the lower sites. The water was high this year (June 18 2023 weekend) but still sort of fishable from the edges. Campground is nice, bathrooms are very clean and site staff are nice. Some spots are pretty close together with worn paths between them. Town is nearby for anything you need. Plus plenty of hiking trails. Careful of off-leash dogs. Overall a great spot. Fills up early so book way ahead of your visit!
Jul 05, 2023 · Mark SnowLower campsites had great views and reasonable privacy. The upper sites, not so much. There is a fair amount of road noise from 6 am to about 10 pm but that is to be expected near a roadway. The river does a decent job of drowning that out though and it wasn't really a bother. If there were water available somewhere at the campground (not asking for showers or water hookup) we would have rated this a 5. We knew going in there was no water available so we were prepared for it. Bathrooms were very well kept up.Attached several views from our campsite.
Aug 04, 2018 · Greg ShortStayed 2 nights and had a blast. Get there early for riverside/ river level sites, they are first come, first serve. Cannot reserve a site in advance. Bathrooms are extremely well kept for vault toilets. Minimally invasive highway noise. The river was near capacity so the sound of that made it peaceful at night. The camp hosts in 2019 were fantastic.
