Dog friendly. This campsite has a community water spigot, kitchen cleaning sink, bathrooms with a toilets and sinks, and dumpsters for garbage. Big campground with easy walking paths to the National Park Trails. This campsite also provides bus services to Bar Harbor, which is also dog friendly! Highly recommend
Oct 28, 2024 · Allison JordanThis is a great location for camping in Acadia National Park. The roads are paved, it's nicely wooded and spaciously laid out making the sites semi-private. There are no showers but we found a pay shower with laundry facility a short distance from the campground entrance. It's just a short hike to find some great scenic views of Otter Cove. Plan your daily trips around the island to take into account the one way drive!
Aug 02, 2023 · DI really love staying at the Blackwoods campground. The bathrooms are clean, and it’s quiet after 10pm. The amphitheater is a really fun place for stargazing. You need a park pass to camp here, and the camping sites are a bit close to each other.
Sep 01, 2024 · Arpit JainThis campground was beautiful. We booked a campsite before their on season in May. All the campsites were used and had a fire ring, picnic bench and/or standing grill for handicap sites. The bathroom facilities are close to campsites. We had one right in front of ours with a washing station for dishes and a water spigot. The bathroom had one outlet and was maintained nicely. The parking spot was large enough to fit most cars. They are also a dog friendly campground so our dog came with us on this trip. Most sites can support a hammock.
Aug 07, 2023 · Carolina PahlBeautiful campsite in an old forest. The picturesque "Park Loop Road," a beautiful coastal route, is easily accessible from this campground. There is also a free and direct shuttle from the campground to Bar Harbor. The shuttle runs regularly. The campsites are quite spacious, offering varying degrees of privacy depending on the chosen spot. My three-night stay was very peaceful. However, there are three downsides: there are no showers at this campsite, my site was infested with fire ants that would bite you for no reason when you least expected it, and they don't sell any firewood at the campground. We had to purchase it nearby.
