★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Amazing location. Upper campground allows ORV access for parking and lower had them completely prohibited (even to park). The lots were very large and comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights and loved our experience. Seemingly endless opportunities to hike and trail ride.Just a wonderful weekend getaway.
October 14 · Hyper LAnother park ruined for locals. Moved the day use to a small corner next to the road. Three yes only three picnic tables. No room for kids to play.
June 19 · She NicholsWow, this campground is fantastic! There are a upper and lower portion, lower is on Black Lake and the upper is typically where more spacious wooded sites are that is Off Road Vehicle Approved.Very clean, spacious, well kept and overall quiet during our stay. There is a restaurant near by that served good food and drinks, we were only a 3 minute walk from it and did not hear it at night (we were there in the fall maybe in the summer it is different, who knows). Black Lake is beautiful, the trails are excellent, overall great stay here.
November 01 · Dirty Jak & The Dusty BeanBeautiful campground. Vault toilets are clean and smell nice. Will be back again.
July 06 · Dave HoskingThis is a rustic facility, no hook ups, centrally located water spigot, vault toilets but they are newer and usually well kept, not bad. There are two separate areas. The Lakeshore is wooded with site right along beautiful Black Lake! Boat launch and swimming area, water is shallow a long way out, mostly sandy bottom, great swimming. No ORVs permitted in this portion. The upper level is on a high plateau above the lake, well wooded, with a huge system of ORV trails connected, and ORVs permitted on campground roads as well. This part tends to be noisier and more active. We love the lakeside, but it's often full, FCFS. Onaway State Park is on the other end of the lake, and other campgrounds in the general area.
