Black Bear RV Park Reviews
We recently stayed at Black Bear for several weeks, as we had need to regularly be in NYC. Though most amenities weren't available (a mix of ongoing work by the new owners + arriving during the shoulder season), we didn't miss anything at this beautiful campground. The provided facilities are clean, the campground roads and trails are well kept, and the staff is friendly, helpful, and quickly responsive. While online booking, check-in, etc., may be frustrating for some folks, we vastly preferred this to the mess of paper we usually end up with at campgrounds. The town of Florida is an easy place to park for days, weeks, or months. There are plenty of local restaurants, the local hardware stores are great, and it's a quick drive in any direction for groceries, hiking, world-class shopping, etc.Older reviews are tied directly to prior owners, and should be taken with a grain of salt when looking at this campground. We would happily book with Black Bear again!
Dec 02, 2024 · C Johnsonnice RV park. It looks like they are updating & getting ready for the summer season.no cable or wirking bathhouse yet - but we were only there for 2 days & are self-contained.
May 27, 2025 · Bob JAs well maintained campground. Flat level very deep site. Nice fire pit. Utilities all worked perfectly. Half hour to West Point on game day! Will be back! We stayed in a 28 foot class C. But would have had no problems if we still had our 40+ foot 5th wheel.
Oct 22, 2024 · Carl AaronWe loved our stay at this campground. Very family friendly with a great new playground for kids. A paved loop by our site allowed our little ones to ride their new electric scooters till they wore themselves out. Lots of great hiking paths. Overall a very well maintained site but minimal, no shop or arcade or any jazzy extras. They’re working on adding some things in the coming year and we will definitely be going back. They are located only 15 minutes from Legoland which is why we went. Also, the customer service was fantastic. They were available via text and email and got back to us with any questions very quickly! Even later in the evening when we first arrived. Thanks for a great weekend, Black Bear!
Oct 16, 2024 · Jessica AmmersenWe have been stopping in overnight at Black Bear for the past 3 years on our way back from Myrtle beach. This year was different. The online reservation was completely painless (was before!) and the check in was easy also. We even met a live human being who greeted us and told us where our site was etc. In the past this was not the case. The new management team headed up by Tom are great. We will definitely stop again next year on our way back home. Nice and peaceful place close to the hiways and of course… The Outlets!!!
