Humboldt Redwoods State Park itself is a jewel in California's state park system, home to some of the world's tallest trees and vast, untouched groves that inspire wonder and reverence.
For Californians, accessing this natural sanctuary requires a journey, but one that is inherently part of the experience. The camp is located near Honeydew, a small, charming community nestled along the scenic Avenue of the Giants, an alternative route to Highway 101 that meanders through the heart of the ancient redwood forests. Baxter Environmental Camp Reviews
Beautiful, quiet walk in campground near a creek. We camped at site #2 which was about a 150-200 yard walk from the parking area so we had to haul our stuff in, but it's well worth it. No obnoxious neighbors and lots of privacy and solitude.
