Back Ranch Meadows Campground Reviews
We had such a lovely time here. Plenty of peace and quiet. The only troublemakers were the rascally raccoons. The hosts are nice, the place was clean and equipped well. -1 star for only cold coin operated showers. Not upset about paying for the shower, only that it was icy. All things considered it was a great campground and I'd love to return. We enjoyed the area but be prepared to drive to the beach and attractions.
Sep 06, 2018 · Melissa AlmeidaGreat trails for social rides, and areas for hiking, camping, nature walks. More technical riding available for those in need of something more challenging than the calm loop. Make sure to support FoCC to keep this great park open and cared for!
Aug 13, 2018 · Zeke Rutman-AllenBooked online and was not able to make it there before they closed. A note was left for us on the office with a map and directions and a gate code to let us on. The place had a fenced in dog area which was very helpful for my wife and I who have 2 hunting dogs. The bathrooms and showers were ok, but it was good for a camp site. Overall it was nice and peaceful experience and a great stop for the night.
Jul 21, 2021 · JMy kids really love this place and it was a very nice campground except the fact that we needed to clean up the prior campers mess. We open up the storage bins and it was filled with trash and a watermelon that I’ve been shattered to 1 million pieces covered in bees. Not to mention the hose assigned our specific camping spot to another couple two hours after we had already reserved it so we had a very angry camper come up and attack us and accuse us of not paying and even yelled at my child. Recommend that if you do come to this place because it has lovely scenery to be prepared for management who is unorganized and to be responsible for cleaning up the prior campers mess. Once other campers check out they should be checking the campsites to make sure that it is ready for the next camping group.
Sep 02, 2018 · Sara CochaviThis place if a very good option especially if you need to be in San Francisco the next morning. I was able to get a reservation for the fourth of july, and it really exceeded my expectations. Please note: this is a walk-in campground, just a short walk really from the parking lot, where you will find some carts and re-purposed garbage bins, which are a real help especially if you are in the upper sites. My only quibble: the showers require many many more quarters than the sign indicates. That said, there are free cold showers in the beach day use area. Tip: if you are going out at night, get the combination to the gate, as it may be locked when you return.
