Apple River Family Campground

Stayed here 3 times now, and will continue to patronize this campground. The river sites are absolutely beautiful. A little expensive, but to me worth the price. Electric and water at your site, beautiful river front views. Staff( for the most part) very friendly and helpful. We tent camped in site 71 this time. Trees for shade, and hung a hammock. Hot showers a short walk cost a dollar in quarters for 10 minutes hot water. Outdoor seasonal pool, firewood to purchase. We floated the river cost $20 per tube, drop off right at campground. Stay during the weekdays for privacy and the best experience. Riverside sides can accommodate small RVs and trailers, or tents. Town is a 5 minute drive for groceries, bars, liquor, etc. You can camp in a field at "the other place" or here at the riverfront... - May G
