Albert Lea / Austin KOA Journey Reviews
We tent camped here for a single night on our way through to Badlands National Park. The owners are super nice! Great people! We have a 16mo toddler who is very friendly and this was his first camping trip. They came out and chatted with us and brought him a couple toys to play with. Very nice of them! We had a blast! The bathrooms were super clean. The owners were telling us about the expansion they are working on and we definitely look forward to coming back to see it!
May 25, 2025 · Mea LWonderfully accommodating and friendly owners! Such a great location and so many great improvements underway. Sites were large and easy to get in and out of with a good mix of sun and shade. Both full hookups and primitive sites available for tents, campers, and RVs.Bathrooms and showers (free) were modern and clean. We saw both overnighters stopping by on their way down the road and longer stay folks. We will definitely be back!
Jun 01, 2025 · Heather Rose MorrisStrange acting unfriendly person checked us in. Couldn't give us information. Forgot to give us our wood. Laundry was closed until 4 p.m. the last day of our stay. The grounds needed attention and we're unkempt. Would not stay here again.
Jul 01, 2025 · Allison ElliottNice quiet campsite. Conveniently located near interstate 90 but far enough away so that we didn’t have the traffic noise. Friendly helpful staff. Peaceful.
May 20, 2025 · Sue MatthewsIt’s seems like the pool has been closed for years but the picture on the website makes it seem like there was a pool. The site flooded so we had to put our tent on rock area for parking. Not a great koa especially for being 40 dollars a night to tent camp.
