Alamosa / Great Sand Dunes KOA Journey Reviews
Overall, the campground is really nice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating — we asked to move to a quieter spot, and they were very understanding, even offering a partial refund. The campground is well located, clean, and peaceful. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Jun 30, 2025 · Micha DarceyThe park is very nice. It has a lot of amenities for a journey class KOA. Spaces are nice. We picked a buddy site and the RVs faced each other. The K9 camp was spacious for the fur babies to roam around. There are pedal carts for rent, a pool to swim in and sand boards / sand sleds to rent. Overall a good spot to camp for a couple days.
Jun 25, 2025 · D GredleinThis is a well managed and maintained campground. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is well located to Great Sand Dunes National Park, grocery stores in Alamosa and many other places. We will visit again. Oh yes, the fudge is very good.
Jun 30, 2025 · Ted FiskSuper nice campground! I have a 20 foot camper and got a buddy site and the site was with the money. Free wifi, pool, sand boards, sand sleds, single or double seated pedal cars with a track to race on, fun events, playground for the kids, dog park for any dogs you may bring, great view of the mountains, and bathrooms that are clean and tidy. Overall all great experience will be coming back!
May 29, 2025 · Peppermint SwirlVery nice KOA. We stayed in Cabin #1. There is a little heater that worked great, a table fan and ceiling fan. Double log swing on the front porch and a firepit. The store is stocked and the staff very friendly. The bathrooms were very clean. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks!
