Acorn Campground at Beaver's Bend State Park Reviews
We stayed the last weekend in February. We were blessed with some good weather to go hiking, cook on the grill, read a book outside by the fire. It was our first visit and we fell in love. We tried the cafe too and it was fantastic! The staff was so sweet and very informative and we also had a couple guests watching us through the window. Lol this is such a great state park. You can tell how much the staff cares. The park and all the buildings are very well kept and clean. We will definitely be back!
Mar 26, 2019 · Laurie MeschAC002. This is one of the best spots at Acorn campground. Not a lot of brush blocking the view of the river. Lots are nicely spread out and the new bath house is only a 100 yards away. You have to book way in advance but totally worth it.
Mar 29, 2022 · David DarstThis is a wonderful getaway if you can go during the week, and not the weekend. The weekends here are very crowded from what we heard. But don't let that stop you. We started our time here on Sunday, and stayed through Wednesday. It was perfect! Highlights were the heritage, and nature center. All of the hiking trails in the area. (You can pick up a map at the heritage center) Horse back riding. Rent cabins, or bring your travel trailer. The restaurants in the Hochatown area: Grateful Head Pizza, Mountain Fork Brewery Restaurant & Taproom, and Papa Pablano's Mexican Restaurant are the ones we tried, and were outstanding! The kayaking of the Mountain Fork River was challenging and fun. (Class 2 rapid areas) You can rent, and be completely outfitted for you run by several outffiters in the area, or bring your own stuff and hire them to shuttle you to and from the put in/take out areas. All in all a very fun trip for us and definitely will be back!
Aug 20, 2020 · RomanVery clean, beautiful and quite spot. Climate controlled restroom and showers are a plus
Jul 12, 2024 · Jack DavisSo beautiful! Very nice magical looking. Just seemed to be a lot of lazy people who littered and nobody cleaned up their camp sites when they left. We not only cleaned up our Campground, Immaculate. But cleaned up the two sites next to us that were empty, but dirty. Overall it was gorgeous! Leave only footprints. Take only pictures. 🇺🇸
