321 RV Campground Introduce
For North Carolina residents and visitors traveling through the western Piedmont region, **321 RV Campground** in Maiden offers a refreshing, modern approach to RV camping. Situated conveniently in Catawba County, this campground is a relatively new and well-maintained facility that serves as an excellent home base for exploring the vibrant areas of Hickory, Lake Norman, and even the greater Charlotte metro area. Unlike some older campgrounds, 321 RV Campground was designed from the ground up to cater to the needs of contemporary RV travelers, emphasizing full-service hookups, strong connectivity, and top-tier security.
The campground provides a serene "country setting" while maintaining easy access to major thoroughfares, striking a perfect balance for those who need to work remotely, seek long-term stays, or simply want a comfortable stopover on a journey. A key feature of this location is its focus on being a self-contained RV park, meaning all units must be fully self-sufficient as there are currently no shared public bathhouse or laundry facilities—a detail that ensures a clean and private experience for all guests. This unique operating model appeals to many modern RV owners who prefer the convenience and privacy of their own amenities.
Customer feedback highlights the park’s appeal, noting it is a "newly opened RV Campground, totally modern," with functional amenities like "Free wi-fi." While some long-term guests consist of contract workers utilizing the park for extended periods, this contributes to a quiet and stable environment, as observed in a review: "Park is mostly for contract workers it seems. Lots of work trucks and trailers." This atmosphere of consistent, respectful residents often results in a peaceful stay for everyone, whether you are staying overnight or for a month. The community is generally quiet, well-managed, and the facilities are kept clean.
Located conveniently close to US Route 321, the campground provides a quick exit to regional amenities and attractions. Whether you’re heading to Lake Norman State Park for a day of mountain biking and swimming, or venturing into Charlotte for an event, the location in Maiden ensures you spend less time driving and more time enjoying your North Carolina trip. The developers have emphasized the park's importance in filling a local need for quality RV accommodation in Catawba County, and its continued operation and planned expansion show a commitment to serving the growing North Carolina RV community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Spent three nights in early August. Park is mostly for contract workers it seems. Lots of work trucks and trailers. Currently at 73 sites, soon to expand to over 200. Park Wi-Fi is functional, but may get overloaded in evenings. Dog owners have one main pet area at end of park. There is a gate for Park entry. No shade as trees are newly planted. Small playground for children under what mature trees they do have. Picnic table but no fire pit at site. Highway noise may bother some.
August 04 · Andrew RichardsonNewly opened RV Campground, totally modern Free wi-fi, beautiful country setting with catch and release lake, and othe amenities. Near lakes river and event in Charlotte NC
September 09 · Blow BackThis is a nice quiet RV park. Mostly working people and it is kept nice. No thrills there is a small playground and a central fire pit. Gated with code and a nice view. This facility is expanding, will have many more sites available in the future. Expansion coming along, will at least double this park.
July 27 · Joel MarchiandoThis a a great place to stop in or stay a few days. I stayed one night while on a trip. Easy check in, plenty of room for big trailers or rvs. Great prices for full hook up.
June 24 · scott sayersClean, Quite, Gated… Easy access to I40 via 321. We are in a 42 foot motorhome. Wide enough for easy back In. Shannon is very helpful and responsive to questions.
