Yellowstone Holiday Resort Introduce
For Montanans and visitors alike seeking the ultimate basecamp for their adventures in Big Sky Country, Yellowstone Holiday Resort in West Yellowstone provides a premier RV park and marina experience on the stunning shores of Hebgen Lake. Open seasonally, typically from mid-May through the end of September, this destination is much more than just a place to park your rig; it is a full-service resort centered around the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of one of Montana's most scenic lakes.
The resort caters specifically to those who love the great outdoors but still value modern conveniences. It features a limited number of sites—36 "big-rig friendly" full hookup RV sites and 16 cozy cabins—ensuring a more private, relaxed pace compared to larger, bustling campgrounds. The smaller scale of the resort fosters a quiet, well-kept environment, which many customers praise as being conducive to unwinding after a long day of exploring. Its lakeside setting provides spectacular views of Hebgen Lake and the surrounding mountains, offering a genuine, quintessential Montana experience.
Beyond the RV and cabin accommodations, the resort offers an array of amenities that transform a simple stopover into a true vacation. From a general store stocked with essentials to clean, modern laundry and shower facilities, everything is designed to ensure a comfortable stay. The inclusion of a full-service marina is a major highlight, allowing guests immediate access to water-based activities like fishing, kayaking, and boating on the beautiful lake. It truly combines the best of mountain and lake recreation with the convenience of a modern resort facility.
While the proximity to the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park—just a short 15-minute drive away—is a major drawing card, the resort's slightly removed location on Hebgen Lake is its distinguishing feature. This distance allows guests to escape the hustle and bustle of West Yellowstone town and enjoy a tranquil, scenic retreat. Whether you are setting up a long-term base for exploring Yellowstone's geysers and wildlife or simply enjoying a weekend of lakeside fishing, Yellowstone Holiday Resort offers a well-rounded and highly recommended Montana outdoor experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We stayed here for 9 days. We loved it. The facility is nice and well kept. The campground workers were all very nice, helpful, and accommodating. The facility is on the lake and in a nice quiet area with beautiful scenery. The showers, bathrooms, and laundry facilities were all very nice and clean. The little store had many basics you might need, like food, medical, and fishing items. The lake is beautiful. My grandchildren enjoyed kayaking and fishing on the lake. We were only 15 minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone. West Yellowstone is a nice, cute little town. We will definitely stay here if in the area again. Highly recommended!
June 07 · Tonia HainautNice, clean bathrooms, a beautiful lakefront view, 15 minutes from all the restaurants in town, and a reasonable price – what else could you ask for?My only gripe is the location is a bit far from the park. We used this as our base to explore Yellowstone and there’s definitely a lot of driving.
July 08 · Kristian WindsorWe took our family here this year for a three night camping trip. We loved it! Right on the lake! The weather wasn't cooperating well on the day that we planned to play in the water, but we're planning on coming back and are going to propose it as a family reunion destination next year! The on site bathrooms and private showers was really nice. I've been to campgrounds that have those only available to guests staying in a cabin or other on-site building, while it's closed campers. This place was open to anyone staying in the property! They did provide wifi, but we didn't use it.
August 13 · Matthew ReedWe had a wonderful time at the property. Our family stayed in Elk cabins and the kids loved the shop where we bought fishing poles, outdoor toys, and treats.
August 28 · Casey Rox Sox /Cassandra FleemanBeautiful location, helpful staff, good store and facilities, and not too far from the park. The only negative was unexpectedly poor WiFi, which we were counting on due to a work obligation that intruded on vacation. We got through, though.
