Woods Creek Mobile Home Park in Jamestown offers a compelling option for Californians, whether they are keen RV enthusiasts or individuals seeking an affordable and community-oriented long-term residence. Its suitability for locals stems from a unique combination of practical amenities, a strategic location, and a distinct community atmosphere.
For RVers across California, Woods Creek provides a highly recommended base for exploring the historic Gold Country and the stunning Sierra Nevada foothills. The consistent positive feedback on the well-maintained, level, and spacious full-hookup sites, coupled with clean and warm bathroom facilities, addresses key priorities for any RV traveler. The ease of access from CA-108 further enhances its appeal for weekend trips or longer expeditions into the region's numerous natural parks and historical sites. The unique opportunity to pan for gold on-site adds a memorable touch, aligning with the adventurous spirit of many Californian locals.
Beyond short-term stays, the park also caters to a semi-permanent or permanent mobile home community. For those seeking more affordable housing solutions in California, especially within a desirable area like Tuolumne County, the mobile home park model presents a viable alternative to conventional homeownership. The existence of dedicated "higher area that appears to be for semi permanent and permanent people" suggests a structured environment for longer-term residents. This offers a sense of stability and community that can be highly valued by individuals and families looking to put down roots.
However, it is crucial for prospective residents, especially those considering a long-term stay, to be fully aware of all aspects of the community. While the manager's helpfulness is praised for RV guests, some public comments about "crackheads all around" and "owners are liars cheating on Verbal deals" point to potential community and management challenges that warrant careful consideration. It is advisable for anyone considering a long-term commitment to visit the park, speak with existing long-term residents if possible, and thoroughly understand the park's rules and lease agreements. This due diligence is essential to ensure that the living environment aligns with personal expectations and comfort levels.
In conclusion, Woods Creek Mobile Home Park is a multifaceted destination. Its excellent RV facilities and accommodating staff make it a top recommendation for short-term travelers exploring California's Gold Country. For locals seeking a more permanent, affordable home, it offers a distinct community with geographical advantages. While the overall positive experience for RVers is clear, a balanced approach to evaluating the long-term community dynamics is prudent for those considering it as a permanent residence in beautiful Jamestown.

Woods Creek Mobile Home Park Reviews
We have stayed here twice and both times we had a great stay. The first time was in a class c and we stayed up in the higher area that appears to be for semi permanent and permanent people. It was paved and level, had full hook ups with cable. The manager who was there helping us saw that the cable wasn't working and fixed it right then and there. It was a large site and near the forest behind the park. The second time we stayed in the actual area for RV's down lower. We had a very good site, level and plenty of room. The hookups worked fine and enjoyed this park very much. My wife did try out the bathrooms and showers and said they were working well, very clean and warm (it was winter). I recommend this park, its sometimes hard to get a space but it is worth it. The staff was very nice and helpful. He let us pan for gold under the bridge out front and found a little color!
Aug 11, 2021 · Larry HaberkernThe guy that runs the place on day to day is a good guy, past that crackheads all around, owners are liars cheating on Verbal deals. Would only recommend if you have zero choices on living accommodations
Jul 13, 2024 · Peter EnckeBeautiful lots up on the hill. Don't let the narrow seedy-looking entrance fool you. This is a well-kept trailer park with several RV spots to rent. No cable, but modern hookups and excellent water pressure. Affordable rates and friendly staff.Jamestown is already a great place to stop on your way to Yosemite, and Woods Creek if the place to be if you're on a RV road trip.

Dec 15, 2022 · Jon JorgensenThe management here is honorable and polite and always willing to help. Truly a quiet place to stay but it gets busy quick. Not a lot of extra spots. People like to stay.
