Feb 08, 2018 · Debbe GottenbuschWindward Knoll is a fantastic 55+ community tucked away down the street from Lake Thonotosassa. The management and owners are excellent and we and our neighbors all work together to keep the community safe, clean and beautiful.
Oct 08, 2019 · Joe HuguenardIt's a great place to live. It is a 55+ community and I live here to take care of my elderly father! The park is very clean and well maintained. I wish there were more activities in the park. I think they should look into renting a bus maybe 2-3 times a year for an excursion and to better connect the residents. I would even suggest maybe a community yard sale or even a community BBQ a few times a year. My father always says you can hear a pin drop at night. The common 3 complaints I often hear is the issue with the water. #1 It seems like 8-10 times a year they are shutting the water down because of something is wrong with the pumps. #2 They should also do a better job of welcoming visitors who are coming to visit loved ones at the park and stop making them feel like they don't belong. #3 Put a long dumpster in the back maybe 2-3 times a year for old appliances,.couches etc etc etc.
Oct 14, 2024 · Brian RudeI bought a unit at WK this year for my parents to live in this year. The rent is reasonable, includes a great many amenities (including discounted Spectrum cable/internet). The surrounding properties are farmland on 3 sides, and one house with 18 acres on the east side, so it's more unlikely than most to be snapped up in a wave of corporate/private-equity takeovers. The people are sweet, with community meals, entertainment, and activities scheduled regularly. So far so good!
