Six months ago I sold my mobile home in Walnut Hills and moved into an apartment to be closer to my children. Big mistake! There isn’t a safer, cleaner, friendlier, more affordable place to live, especially for a senior. I have bought and sold several homes in Walnut Hills over the past 10 years and Tiffany has always been there to guide me through the process. Are there rules? YES! I wouldn’t have it any other way. To top it off, I have made many wonderful friends since living here. Enough said.

We were communicating with Tiffany Genson who instructed us to all apply independently, and we provided the financial documents required to prove income. They kept changing their mind about which documents they needed from us, and we continued to provide the information asked. Ultimately, they only processed my fiance's application, calling him the "breadwinner" when they knew we were planning to split the lot rent 3 ways. They had manipulated us into applying independently so they could isolate one of our applications and reject us on the basis of insufficient income. We asked for clarification on why his income was insufficient. We wanted to know if their calculations were based on income alone, or if they were factoring in utilities and other bills. Tiffany could not provide any other answer besides "I don't know" or " I can't tell you that" When we had gone in to ask these questions, I had brought my father since she didn't seem to treat us with respect. Even though we were all there and giving our consent for him to hear about any part of this process, she said she couldn't discuss any part of our application with him there. Tiffany ended up retreating into her office, leaving us baffled. She could not provide any valid explanation as to our rejection, leaving the only reason to be a personal one.

I offered cash to them which seemed to not make a difference. But what did make the most difference to them was the request made by the owner of the trailer for my grandson and his fiance and their friend to live there, told if they were married it would make a difference [ OH REALLY]. They are very respectful young adults who just want to get started in life,two of them have college degrees, and I felt comfortable enough to put my money forward to help do that. The greedy people out there that charge so much for rent, these young people out there will never have a chance. I knew from the very first meeting we had that it was going to be a personal thing, just by the tone that was set by Tiffany and questions asked. Yes, I realize that its a business and they have their rules thats understandable, but the attitude is NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kay Shiffert
