★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is a decent spot by a nice little lake. With Beautiful trees. It is NOT a great spot for tent camping. The hwy 20 traffic was loud and nonstop all night long and around midnight the sprinklers went off and soaked the inside and outside of my tent since the sprinkler head popped up under my rain fly. It would've been extremely helpful to know about the sprinklers!!! The bathroom area is decent but not overly clean in shower area.
September 04 · Jill SwensonThe staff's dedication to accommodating guests is truly exceptional. We encountered a transmission issue while traveling to Wakeside, which unfortunately resulted in our truck being in the shop for a few days beyond our expected arrival. As one might imagine, the stress of a breakdown was considerable, especially with our destination being on that list of stess. Upon contacting Wakeside, their kindness and willingness to accommodate our late arrival by keeping our site available were greatly appreciated. The phone conversation was remarkably pleasant and reassuring, leaving me feeling completely stress-free after our call. I had no concerns about where we would be staying once our truck was back on the road.In our opinion, Wakeside stands out as the best RV park in the area. This was not our first visit, and given that we have family in Rexburg, we anticipate it will not be our last. Wakeside possesses a charming, somewhat rustic ambiance, with lovely trees providing shade in the RV sites. The sites themselves offer plenty of space for parking and maneuvering. All of this is complemented by a nice lake to enjoy and view. Furthermore, the restrooms are well-maintained and clean. We would suggest some additional maintenance on the lakeside crossing bridges and a bit more weed control on the charming little beach area to truly elevate this park to its full potential. Once again, we firmly believe that this is the nicest RV park in this area.
July 27 · Gary WessellNice lakeside park. We stopped off last night at this RV park on the way to Yellowstone. We liked the mature trees that provided shade on a warm summer day. All the spots are drive-through so easy to get in and out. We had access to water, power and sewer hookup. The site is clean and well maintained. There is a laundry facility with plenty of units for those who need it. The shower/toilet facilities were clean and there was plenty of hot water and pressure. The price was very reasonable for the location just outside Rexburg. Not a deal breaker, but we weren’t able to connect to the WiFi.
August 13 · Art SchultzThe park is fine if nothing goes wrong, but if you have an issue, good luck getting help. We had sewage coming out of their sewer hookup at our spot. Didn’t know until we got back from our exploring. Whole area reeked and was blocking our hookups. We have tried calling and texting the number the park provided. Multiple calls and no answer. Eventually someone calls back, but is one of the rudest people I have to encounter. She went on implying we are the blame and how this isn’t her job to deal with these situations and there is nobody who does. She has shown no concern, no apologies, no offers to help, just attitude. One of her top phrases happened to be “I have a life outside of this you know”She eventually just told us to move spots. Which we did.We had to walk through sewage to get our camper unhooked and moved.Unfortunately for us, we still had a few nights there.I have reached out at least five times to speak with someone on this matter. I’ve called, texted and emailed and zero response. With the backing up of their sewer, rude employees, site surrounded with dog poop and trash, I would not recommend this place at all. There is a much nicer newer park right next door. Really regretting giving this place a shot.I have added some pictures I have taken. The sewage pictures show the puddles. If you zoom in enough you can see human feces and other things floating about. You can see some of sewage dried up around it. We didn’t realize it was sewage the first day with all the rain we had. Thus, the half dried up sewage. Also adding pictures of the laundry/ restrooms/ showers.Everything was just cleaned right before I took these image's. It was not clean for a majority of our stay.
July 30 · Catie MarieThe RV park is falling into disrepair with management making no effort to fix it. Just post a sign to release liability. They like to communicate thru text but are non responsive. If you call they will answer. Clean restroom was a plus. Dog owners do not pick up after pets and long term residents do not keep their area clean. Looks like the tent Glamping and private lake ski lodge is the full time effort. RV park is a second thought.
