Situated in the eastern part of our vibrant city, this RV park offers a practical solution for both short-term visits and longer stays, positioning you within reach of Orlando's myriad attractions and essential services.
Village Inn & RV Park aims to provide a functional and accessible base for RVers. While experiences can vary, as reflected in various public reviews, the core offering is a place to park your RV with necessary hookups in a highly desirable location. This article will provide an honest and factual overview of Village Inn & RV Park, focusing on its prime location, the essential services it provides, and what makes it a suitable option for locals seeking temporary or extended RV accommodation in the Orlando area. We aim to present available information clearly, allowing you to make an informed decision for your next stay.
Village Inn & RV Park is located at 17883 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32820, USA. This address places it directly on a major east-west artery through Orlando, East Colonial Drive (State Road 50). This highly accessible location is one of its most significant advantages, especially for those familiar with navigating the Central Florida road network.
The park's position on E Colonial Drive means exceptionally easy access to a vast array of services, shops, and dining establishments. Within a short drive, residents can reach numerous grocery stores, pharmacies, fast-food outlets, and sit-down restaurants, ensuring that daily necessities are always within reach. The convenience extends to other essential services, including gas stations, automotive repair shops, and various retail plazas.
Furthermore, the location provides excellent connectivity to Orlando's broader attractions. While not immediately adjacent to the major theme parks, E Colonial Drive offers direct routes or quick connections to them, typically within a 20-40 minute drive, depending on traffic. Downtown Orlando, with its diverse cultural venues, entertainment, and business districts, is also easily accessible. For those traveling further afield, Orlando International Airport (MCO) is a relatively straightforward drive. This strategic placement makes Village Inn & RV Park a practical hub for exploring all corners of the Orlando metropolitan area and beyond, allowing residents to experience the best of Florida with relative ease. The area is known for its quiet atmosphere despite being on a main road, a benefit noted by some previous guests.
Village Inn & RV Park focuses on providing the fundamental services necessary for a comfortable RV stay, particularly for those seeking a practical and affordable option in the Orlando area. Based on available public information and common RV park offerings, the following services are generally provided:
- Full RV Hookups: Sites typically offer full hookups, including electricity (likely 30 and/or 50 amp service), water, and sewer connections. This ensures that RVers have access to essential utilities for a self-contained stay.
- Flexible Stay Options: The park appears to accommodate both weekly and monthly rentals, providing flexibility for guests. Publicly available information indicates rates such as "$255 a week" and "$800 a month," suggesting options for both short-term visitors and those seeking longer-term temporary accommodation.
- Basic Facilities: As part of an RV park, it is reasonable to expect basic facilities such as restrooms, and potentially laundry facilities, though specific details on their condition or availability can vary and are best confirmed directly.
- On-Site Office/Management: While one review mentions waiting for someone to open the office, the presence of an office implies on-site management to handle check-ins, inquiries, and maintain operations.
- Quiet Environment (Reported by some guests): Despite its location on a main road, some past guests have noted the park to be "very quiet," which can be a valuable service for those seeking a peaceful resting place.
It is important to acknowledge that some reviews have highlighted concerns regarding the condition of the campsite and management policies, such as "rules are scribbled on pieces of paper" and strict pet/occupancy rules. Prospective residents should verify current conditions and specific rules directly with the park management to ensure they align with their expectations.
Village Inn & RV Park offers a few key features and highlights that make it a notable option for RVers in the Orlando area, particularly for those prioritizing location and flexible stay durations.
- Strategic East Orlando Location: Its placement on E Colonial Drive is a significant highlight, offering straightforward access to major highways and all the amenities of Orlando. This is ideal for those who need to be centrally located for work, family visits, or exploring the wider Central Florida region.
- Affordable Pricing for Orlando: Compared to many RV resorts in the highly competitive Orlando market, Village Inn & RV Park appears to offer more budget-friendly rates for both weekly and monthly stays. This affordability is a key advantage for long-term residents or those on a tighter budget.
- Flexibility for Short and Long Stays: The availability of both weekly and monthly rental options provides considerable flexibility. This makes it suitable for individuals needing temporary housing, traveling professionals, or those exploring a potential move to the area.
- Reported Quiet Atmosphere: Despite being on a major road, some guests have described the park as "very quiet." This can be a significant benefit for RVers seeking a peaceful environment to relax after a day of work or sightseeing, contrasting with the sometimes noisy nature of other urban parks.
- Friendly Neighbors (Reported by some guests): One positive review specifically mentioned "friendly neighbors," indicating a potentially welcoming community atmosphere, which can greatly enhance the living experience in an RV park.
It is important to address some reported limitations: previous reviews indicate a "no pets allowed" policy and a "2 people max in camper" rule, along with concerns about the "rundown" condition of the campsite and informal "scribbled" rules. These points suggest that while the park offers a convenient and affordable base, it might be more suited for RVers with specific needs and expectations. Always verify these specific rules and current conditions directly with management before committing to a stay.

Village Inn & RV Park Reviews
Went over there and stood outside awhile til someone finally opened the office door. Rules are scribbled on pieces of paper all over office. Campsite is rundown. The rv lot rent is now $800 a month and $800 deposit, or $255 a week. Only 2 people max in camper, and no pets allowed. He frowned when I told him I have a child.
Feb 21, 2024 · •TimberShine•Great price and staff. Friendly neighbors. Very quiet
Aug 24, 2020 · Wanda PayneIt's clean. The "road" needs to be fixed. Pot holes an such. I have not seen no zombies. But then again I'm not outside all hours of the night. It is quite for the most part. Most of the neighbors friendly. Sum not so much. But you get that in a community. Trailer park, subdivision, etc.
Nov 18, 2022 · Gretchen GusterThe landlord is a hot head. He is very nosy, has no rules and regulations posted. So rules are on the fly. CAN ONLY PAY IN CASH. They will show you and tell you to choose any lot then when you do they put you somewhere else. Trailers are to be clean and yet you have trailers framed out on the ground. I have a thin layer of algae on my fifth wheel. Was told within parking it it needs cleaned. Yet there are trailers with literal trash on the roof. Two car limit yet there is a lot with 3 classic cars a dually and another vehicle on it. The lots are straight grass NO AMENITIES. This isnt even good enough to sleep overnight. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else
