Valley Trailer Villa Reviews
I am thankful to have lived here for the last eight years. The park is pet friendly, affordable, close to stores, easy access to the freeway, and too local beaches. The manager of the park has been here for 20 years and is very fair and friendly. The manager comes thru the park at the least twice a day and says hi to all the pups in the park as he checks things out . Thank you, Tom and Mac for giving us a safe affordable place to live.
Jul 12, 2024 · Rae Ann LappoI have lived here for 12 years and LOVE IT here!!! This is a Very Well Managed Park. I helped manage a trailer park with my previous husband's (now deceased) family and from my experience, this is a VERY WELL MANAGED PARK!!! Mac is an 'excellent' manager and all around nice person, he may be firm but he is fair which is why the park is as comfortable as it is!! My husband and I are at peace living here with our two dogs, have great neighbors and have made some wonderful friends here!! We both love helping others out and this is a great community for that opportunity!! THANK YOU to Mac (Park Manager) and Tom (Park Owner) for giving us the opportunity to experience such a GREAT environment!!!!!!!
Jul 24, 2024 · terri mcquillenI feel super lucky I just got a spot here a few days ago. Mac and the other lady who works helping him are both really nice and very welcoming. When I arrived they were cleaning up the lot from the previous tenant who just moved out a couple days before. Multiple neighbors have said hello and introduced themselves, and everyone has been really friendly. They're pet friendly and there are a lot of dogs there. Rent is the most reasonable I was able to find in the area at $875/month. Everywhere else was $1200-$1400. I'm so grateful I found this place!
May 23, 2022 · Sheila FranksI have lived at Valley trailer Villa for 3 years... everyone who has a pet, has a house pet, quiet 🤫, and safe ☺️, thanks To the manager cooperation, Valley trailer Villa safest place to live in Oxnard ❤️
Jul 16, 2024 · D BSee bottom of review for updates....Had no problems whatsoever for over 5 years and then cruddy tenants started bringing in pit bulls and pit mixes(which aren't allowed). These dogs bred and then 3 puppies were distributed within the park to other tenants. 2 of the 3 escaped and attacked other tenants and their pets, the other 1 got cited for neglect. Manager sided with the neglectful owners of all of these dogs and acted like a 12 year old child when he had to get involved in a situation that he could have handled before it escalated into what it did. Mac(manager) doesn't care if a dog mauls another dog or human, he doesn't own the park and isn't legally responsible. While all this was going on, he moved in another tenant with a pitbull. It's overweight and seems to be deformed, so doubt it will attack, but clearly the park owner doesn't know all that this manger is doing. The owner of the park was finally made aware of the ridiculousness of the aggressive dog situation and has pressed for the removal of the dogs, but it's a temporary fix unless they're able to better monitor what happens inside the park. I've moved away but am certain that unless the manager is replaced, this park won't be managed correctly. He's 60 years past his prime. He accused me of setting up the dog attack.....as in, I encouraged the dogs to attack someone else and their dogs. He's a senile geriatric who's mismanagement have left tenants and the park owner at great risk.On the day I left, I sold my 5th wheel and the shed that I purchased from the previous tenant when I moved in. Manager made a big fuss saying I didn't own the shed. Apparently he forgot about the time I took the shed apart and rebuilt the floor or the time I purchased it from the previous tenant. But, it's a 20 year old shed and not worth arguing over, but just really funny how he thinks the shed belonged to him. There's a known thief in the park that is always in/out of jail. He rides a motorcycle but can be seen hauling in stolen goods where he disassembles them in his yard. Many of the yards are filthy, with litter and garbage mixed in with overgrown weeds. There's supposed to be a 10 year rule on RVs, but there's many that are 20 or even 30 years old. One resident near the front of the park had his deceased dog inside the RV for a week before something was done.Park maintenance man rides around on a golf cart with cordless leaf blower, blowing dust from the street area onto your cars. He does this at least twice a week, so don't plan on keeping your car clean for longer than a day or two.Feral cats everywhere due to "Karen" feeding them. But you're not allowed to say anything because she's best friends with the manager. Her daughter owns one of the pits that mauled the other tenant's dog. I kept hoping the pits would curb the cat population, but no such luck. The plus side is it's the cheapest park in the area. If you own a dog or are military, the manager instantly loves you. Bonus points if your dog is hyper aggressive and you leave it tied outside all day.Update 1(7/12): it's been almost 2 months since I was attacked by the dog. The dog owners are trying everything to keep their dogs inside the RV park....did a DNA test, trying to register as emotional support animal, etc. The dog owners are happy that the dna tests don't show any pitbull, but are still silent on why their dogs escape and attack other people and dogs. The good news is the dog owners will lose this battle if they expect to continue renting here or the park owner will just evict the owners too. Per park rules, aggressive dogs of any breed will be removed. If I'm wrong about how aggressive these dogs are, then I insist the manager put his grandson in to play with the dogs. That should end this debate relatively quickly.10/9: All 3 of the pits are gone. The last one took awhile to get rid of but finally the owner dumped it off at The Collection, a local shopping area packed with families. These kinds of people will be your neighbors and manager. Good luck
