Unk's Lake Campground And Swimming Hole Reviews
We had an absolute blast at Unk’s Lake and Swimming Hole! It was our first time visiting, and we stayed from the minute they opened until around 5:30. Our crew had kids ranging from 3 to 9, and every single one of them had the best time. There was pizza available to order, but we also brought our own cooler. Plenty of shaded spots if you want a break from the sun, but lots of people set up in the sunshine too. Lifeguards were on duty and did a great job—not only keeping everyone safe, but doing it with such positive attitudes. They were firm but kind, reminding kids (and adults!) to walk on the docks, which do get slippery. One even encouraged my son to try the high dive when he got nervous, which meant a lot.The blob wasn’t open until later due to windy weather (safety first), but it was fun to watch the brave ones launch into the air once it did open! They also had a stocked tank for fishing, picnic tables, grills, and even a volleyball net and basketball hoop in the water. Life jackets were for sale, which was great since they’re required for the blob and the water is deep. All in all, it’s such a fun, family-friendly spot—we’ll definitely be back!
Jun 24, 2025 · Courtney RamirezWe had a great time , about an hour away from us. So it was a nice little drive w different scenery. The roads driving in are all dirt/rocks so your cars gonna get really dirty lol. It was $12/person to get in. We went on a Sunday and it wasn’t packed at all. Plenty of parking and tables left. You can bring your own food and drinks just no glass. And alcohol is allowed. Overall a fun experience for the kids. You can also bring your fishing pole to fish at a little pond. Will be returning for sure.
Jun 30, 2025 · Leslie LopezThis place was awesome. My kids liked it so much we went back again just a couple weeks later. It's about an hour and a half from my place, but well worth the drive. The swimming hole is a man-made spring fed lake. There's a couple diving boards (one is a high dive), a setup net for water volleyball, a BLOB and plenty of extra room for swimming. Beautiful scenery and lots of places to get shade (with tables) for picnics or cooking out. Bathrooms are okay with a small shower (shower could use a little upgrade but it was suffice for its purpose). Friendly owners and staff. Overall great place to spend a summer afternoon. I highly recommend a trip for the family! Tips: bring life jackets if you plan to do the blob. You can not do it without one and they are not provided (although you can purchase one for around $15). Careful walking in the grassy areas...there are stickers and ants. Camping is only aloud for RV's. Daily admission for swimming is $4.50 per person (free for two and under) and $2.50 to park. AND the park is dog friendly, which is a bonus for many.
May 23, 2021 · Emily BibbBeautiful little lake out in the country. Our group of 11 really enjoyed playing in the clean water. Staff was pleasant and it wasn't too crowded. We will be back for $1 Wednesday. Thank you, Unk's, for a fun and affordable place to bring the family.
Jun 10, 2020 · Jenn ClarkStaff was rude. Jump float wasn't opened until 4. You can't do it without a life jacket. We called in advance and no one said life jackets were needed.
