Tye RV Park stands out in this regard, ensuring that guests can manage their daily needs efficiently while on the road. We understand that RVers appreciate well-maintained facilities, responsive management, and a sense of security during their stays. This article will provide a comprehensive overview of what makes Tye RV Park a notable option for those looking to experience RVing in the Tye and greater Abilene area, detailing its location, the services that enhance your stay, and some unique features highlighted by past visitors.
Our goal is to present a factual and engaging picture that assists prospective guests in Texas in making informed decisions about their next RV stop. We know that considerations such as cost-effectiveness, the quality of hookups, cleanliness, and the overall environment are paramount when selecting an RV park. Tye RV Park addresses these concerns, aiming to provide a practical and welcoming setting where you can enjoy your time in Texas. Let's delve into the specific details that position Tye RV Park as an ideal choice for your RV adventures or extended stays in this part of the Lone Star State.
Tye RV Park is strategically located at 441 N Access Rd, Tye, TX 79563, USA. This address places it just minutes away from the thriving city of Abilene, offering the perfect blend of quiet small-town living with convenient access to urban amenities. Tye, a community in Taylor County, benefits significantly from its direct proximity to Interstate 20 (I-20). The park is easily accessible from I-20 via Exit 278 (westbound) or Exit 277 (eastbound), making it an incredibly convenient stop for travelers traversing Texas. Its location right off a major interstate minimizes travel time and hassle, a significant plus for RVers.
The park's setting provides a certain level of tranquility, despite its location near major roadways. As one reviewer noted, it can be "very quiet here for the night I spent (windows open at night, didn't hear the highway noise)," suggesting that the immediate noise from I-20 might not be as disruptive as one might expect. However, it is important to note the proximity to Dyess Air Force Base (AFB). The park experiences "loud noises at night and during the day" due to "The Air force base flies right over," as mentioned by a long-term guest. For some, like the reviewer's son, this offers a unique and "really cool to see" experience, providing an impromptu air show. For others, it's a "PSA" to consider if noise sensitivity is an issue, making it a distinctive feature of the park's location.
Beyond the immediate surroundings, Tye RV Park's proximity to Abilene ensures that guests have ready access to a comprehensive array of services. Abilene offers abundant shopping opportunities, a diverse culinary scene, a wide range of healthcare facilities, and numerous attractions such as Frontier Texas, the Abilene Zoo, and various parks. For extended stays, this means residents can easily access all necessities and leisure activities without significant travel. The convenience of being "close enough to Abilene" is a recurring theme, highlighting the strategic advantage of Tye RV Park's location for both short-term visitors and long-term residents in Texas.

Tye RV Park Reviews
Great place for the price. Free laundry and its super clean. Some of the sites get super muddy when it rains. They were very responsive when we initially had problems regarding a loose dog that came from an adjoining property. They quickly put up a fence so the dog could no longer come over. We were here a little over a month and we would definitely stay again. PSA if your not into loud noises at night and during the day this place is not for you. The Air force base flies right over. We thought it was really cool to see. Our son loved it once he got used to the noise.
Jul 09, 2025 · Molly LascalaWe are very pleased to with Tye RV Park. Price is right up our ally for a quick overnight stay. Site 122 is plenty long for our setup. When I found it online I saw they offer free laundry to those who stay. It’s perfect for us to get all our laundry done before heading home. Bathrooms are well taken care of and are very nice. My only negative would be our sewer connection is going uphill so it just takes a little longer to dump, but it can be done.
Mar 21, 2025 · Benjamin PirilloGreat find for the price and convienance of free laundry room. Easy to book online and front office staff greeted us with a friendly welcome. We had space 122 and it was long enough for our 46’ toy hauler fifth wheel and 22’ truck. Water pressure was up to 60PSI. They allowed our 1.5yr old child. The laundry and wash room were very well kept. Washer/dryers were newer LG and very clean, free for customers. They have some low hanging trees in the park to watch out for when you depart, they could use a trimming. Be aware of the goat head stickers on the ground, don’t run out bare foot trying to get a quick glimpse of the planes flying over, they suck to step on.
Mar 21, 2025 · Bianca GleasonThis is a wonderful rv park. The laundry is a nice bonus. The spots are great with several options in size. Our pull thru was set up great. Limited trees so no cleaning necessary of the top of our 5th wheel. We look forward to choosing it again.
Apr 08, 2025 · Wendy AutreyThis place is so quiet, the only thing I would have to complain about is the lack of a playground for kids. We bring the hoverboards when we come visit Daddy but there's nothing else for them to do. Oh they do have a pond which is cool but my kids aren't allowed down there. The pond is beautiful though. The rv park is by a air force base so there's lots of rumbling jets. But I used to live my one in Albuquerque so I'm used to it.
