Tropic Hideaway RV Resort Reviews
We made a weekend trip here, arriving around 7:30p on a Friday. My wife called around 3pm to ask about the late check in procedures. No one answered or returned her call, however, we did find the late check in box with ease. Some info on this would have been nice, maybe we missed it in the emails. Employees were few and far between and while I found this odd, it wasn't exactly off-putting.My biggest complaint regarding the site was that our tanks are located in the rear of our camper and the sewer hookup was somewhat uphill towards the middle of the site. Obviously this made draining the tanks much more difficult than it should have been. Pad was mostly level, and there was enough room to make for an easy back in with adequate space to maneuver both truck and trailer.Amenities were nice and clean, though at least one more bath house would be beneficial. The pool area was great for our youngest with the kids pool having a walk in 1ft. and 3 ft. "deep" end. A playground would make a great addition! We will certainly be back. It's a great location with an easy drive to the beaches and very close to the sports complex, which is great for travel ball families.
Apr 30, 2025 · Paul RoseberryThe Campground was nice and with nice landscaping. Sites were spacious. Our issues were the kids flying around on E bikes way over the speed limit and the lack of management keeping kids out of the adult pool, even after complaining. That was one of the reasons we chose this campground was to relax in the adult pool. The resort did not have enough picnic tables for all sites and not enough umbrellas for the pool. We were verbally attached for not sharing two umbrella for our six chairs. When it was clearly first come, first serve. Lesson learned, we will probably not be back.
May 27, 2025 · Heath JordanWe visited the last week of March. Sites are spacious and level. Resort is well maintained. The electric grills were nice and we made kabobs one night. The pools are not temperature controlled and are uncomfortably cold, which was a huge disappointment for us. Showers/changing rooms only have shower curtains and could, in my opinion, have doors, which would make it a little more private and comfortable. I took 2 showers on site. The first took at least 5 minutes to get hot and was fine. The second took even longer to get hot and the hot water ran out about a quarter of the way through my shower (within a few minutes). I decided to just shower in my camper after that. 2 community gas fire pits-one of them wouldn’t turn on for us. The last night we were at the resort, a family arrived and basically took the place over. We waited a good 30 minutes for kids to get done playing volleyball/fighting on the pickle ball courts. They had repeatedly jumped in the pool and ran onto the courts, making them slippery and wet. I should mention that the pickle ball courts are nice and well maintained. The lights for night play are cool, but we went to turn them off after we were done one night and the light switch was broken and they wouldn’t turn off. The same kids threw chairs in the pool and were playing tag around both pools. I noticed a family walk into the pool area and leave because of the rowdiness. Parents of these kids were useless and only screamed at the kids to stop if they saw them do something they didn't like, otherwise, they didn’t want to take care of their kids and let them run around like they owned the place. Such a disappointment at the end of our stay, but glad is was our last night. I’m hoping management watched the security videos the next day.
Mar 29, 2025 · Jessica CarmodyWe are here for a volleyball tournament at Foley Sports Complex. This RV park is located almost directly next to the big indoor complex and the soccer fields. You could walk to both. The bathrooms, shower and laundry room are spotless. The grounds are really pretty and they have two nice pickle ball courts. The pictures are from spot 1119 which is directly across from the pool, pickle ball courts and the cooking area that has a TV next to the pool.
Mar 08, 2025 · Brianne DeslatteTropical Hideaway RV Resort is a very nice & clean Rv park. The site were big concrete pad & had a lot of room between site. The only complaint I have is I tried to add a day to my reservation & no one answered the phone or called back. I book the extra day online & paid another $35 lock in fee to reserve site. But they did refund me the $35. I will definitely be back to this park.
