Tall Pines RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Tall Pines RV Park, a serene and straightforward RV park located in Shady Hills, Florida. For Floridians seeking a peaceful, no-frills environment for their RV, particularly those interested in long-term or permanent residency, Tall Pines offers a unique proposition. This park appears to cater to a specific niche within the RV community, focusing on providing a quiet and relatively affordable place to call home, rather than a resort experience packed with amenities.
It's important for prospective residents to understand the nature of Tall Pines RV Park based on available public information. While some larger RV resorts prioritize extensive facilities and a bustling social calendar, Tall Pines seems to emphasize a more subdued, residential atmosphere. The park might be best suited for those who value quietude and a sense of community over elaborate shared spaces. As with any long-term commitment, understanding the park's offerings and any potential limitations is key to ensuring it aligns with your lifestyle and expectations in the Sunshine State.
Tall Pines RV Park is situated in Shady Hills, FL 34610, USA. Shady Hills is an unincorporated community located in Pasco County, on Florida's west coast. This area is known for its more rural and natural setting compared to the more densely populated coastal cities, offering a sense of peace and quiet that many RVers seek.
Despite its tranquil ambiance, Shady Hills provides reasonable accessibility to essential services and attractions. The community is located off major roadways, allowing for relatively easy travel. For daily necessities, residents can access grocery stores, local shops, and other conveniences in nearby towns such as Spring Hill, which is just a short drive away. Larger cities like Tampa and St. Petersburg, offering extensive dining, shopping, entertainment, and medical facilities, are within a manageable driving distance. This balance means residents at Tall Pines RV Park can enjoy the quietude of a less developed area while still having convenient access to all that Florida has to offer, making it a practical location for both short-term visits and long-term residency for Floridians.
Based on the provided customer feedback, it's clear that Tall Pines RV Park has a more minimalist approach to shared services. While it may not offer the extensive list of amenities found in larger, more expensive resorts, it provides the fundamental necessities for RV living. It is crucial for prospective residents to confirm directly with park management about the exact services and their current operational status.
- On-site Manager: Customer feedback indicates the presence of a park manager (Theresa) who is described positively, suggesting a point of contact for residents regarding daily operations and concerns.
- Basic Site Hookups: While not explicitly detailed, RV parks typically provide essential hookups for RVs, such as electricity (e.g., 30-amp or 50-amp), water, and sewer connections at each site to ensure comfortable living. Prospective residents should verify these specifics.
It is important to note what is indicated as NOT being offered:
- No Laundry Facilities: Based on a review, there are no on-site laundry facilities. Residents would need to utilize off-site laundromats.
- No Park Bath House: The park reportedly lacks a communal bath house, meaning RVers must rely on their RV's facilities for showering and restroom use.
- No Wi-Fi: A review explicitly states there is no Wi-Fi available on the property, which is a significant consideration for those who rely on internet connectivity.
The highlights and key features of Tall Pines RV Park are primarily centered around its atmosphere and the potential for a specific type of RV living experience. While not boasting a long list of luxury amenities, the park’s appeal lies in its fundamental offerings:
- Quiet Environment: A consistent theme in the feedback is the park's quiet nature, which is a significant advantage for those seeking a peaceful retreat from noise and commotion.
- Manager Presence: The positive mention of the manager, Theresa, suggests that there is an on-site contact who aims to be helpful to residents.
- Affordable Living (Potential): While not explicitly stated, the lack of extensive amenities often correlates with more affordable rates, making it a potentially cost-effective option for long-term RV living in Florida. Prospective residents should verify current pricing.
- Basic, Uncomplicated Living: For RVers who prefer a simple, no-frills lifestyle and are self-sufficient, the park's focus on providing a basic space might be a highlight.
- Focus on Long-Term Residents: The nature of the park, as implied by the reviews (e.g., residents living there for a year), suggests it caters to or has a significant population of long-term or permanent residents, which can foster a stable community feel.
It's important for prospective residents to weigh these highlights against the mentioned limitations (lack of laundry, bathhouse, Wi-Fi, and concerns regarding road maintenance and safety) to determine if Tall Pines RV Park aligns with their personal needs and expectations for an RV community in Florida.

For Floridians who are deep into the RV lifestyle, particularly those seeking a long-term, no-frills, and genuinely quiet place to settle down with their RV, Tall Pines RV Park in Shady Hills presents a very specific, and potentially suitable, option. While the feedback highlights some significant limitations concerning amenities and park maintenance, it also points to a core appeal that resonates with certain local RVers: peace and affordability.
If your primary desire is a tranquil environment away from the hustle and bustle, where you can simply enjoy the quiet of your RV, Tall Pines could fit the bill. The mention of an on-site manager, Theresa, suggests that there is a point of contact for residents, which is always beneficial. For Floridians on a tighter budget or those who are self-sufficient and prefer to use their own RV's facilities rather than communal ones, the lack of extra amenities might translate into lower site fees, making it an economically attractive choice for long-term living.
It's crucial for any local considering Tall Pines to conduct thorough due diligence, including a direct visit to the park and an open conversation with management about all concerns, especially regarding road conditions, lighting, and any efforts being made to address maintenance or safety issues mentioned in reviews. For the RVer who prioritizes a quiet, permanent home base and is prepared for a more basic set of park amenities, Tall Pines RV Park offers a compelling, albeit unique, solution within the Florida landscape. It caters to a specific segment of the RV community that values simplicity and a peaceful setting above all else.

Tall Pines RV Park Reviews
The only thing good about this park is the manager Theresa!!! We lived here for a year and my husband worked there. Three weeks before Xmas Liz(the co-owner)fired my husband for informing her he wouldn't go to her son's house, off property, to do work due to his constant drug use and offering them to my husband. Then 2 days before Xmas she mailed us an eviction paper ,so she could move her new maintenance guy in. We have never had a complaint on us or been late on rent. She charged a handicap renter for pumping out a septic tank he shares with 5 other campers.Theres no laundry facilities or park bath house on the property, no wifi, and the owner refuses to fix the roads despite numerous complaints of damages to tenants vehicles
February 13 · Jamie RoyThe owner is very sweet and friendly but they charge way too much for the little one room hovels. You have some very questionable people who reside there with obvious substance abuse issues and mental problems which makes it extremely unpleasant for those who do not suffer from those maladies. Also not enough lighting in the back area of the park. You literally cannot see a hand in front of your face if you go for a walk at night back there making it very unsafe.
February 24 · Penny CurtisNice and Quiet
March 24 · Chrissy BeecherIt is a very quiet and peaceful place and a nice place to live and the owners are very sweet and friendly.
October 24 · Stephen LandrumI would like to live here but there is a waiting list
