Sunset Lake Campground & RV Park

RV park ★3.0

33242 Sunset Beach Ln, Warrenton, OR 97146, USA

What lovely people running this campground! It was highly welcoming. We didn't need electricity or water and got a spot right next to the bathrooms. The bathrooms themselves are a bit run down and could use an update. However, they were clean and had toilet paper and soap. The view of the lake is gorgeous and you are so close to the beach trails that you can walk there. The whole park was quiet, a security guard patrolled and everyone that passed by was friendly. The shop is limited but has ice, coffee, beer, some snacks, and sodas. Well worth the stop! - Linda Teppler (S0rceress0)

Sunset Lake Campground & RV Park Introduce

For Oregon residents and visitors seeking the quintessential northern Oregon Coast experience, Sunset Lake Campground & RV Park offers a unique and highly desirable destination. Situated in Warrenton, this park is not just an RV stop; it's a full-service gateway to the spectacular natural beauty that defines this part of the state. It provides a peaceful, family-oriented environment right on the serene Neacoxie Lake, with the dramatic Pacific Ocean beaches just a short walk away. This distinctive combination of lakeside tranquility and immediate ocean access makes it a prime choice for coastal camping and recreational activities.

The campground caters to a variety of outdoor enthusiasts, from those traveling in fully-equipped recreational vehicles to traditional tent campers. With approximately 80 total spaces, including dedicated RV sites with essential hookups and tent camping areas, the park ensures that guests have the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. Visitors often highlight the friendly and welcoming staff, noting that the on-site team is dedicated to helping travelers, especially during challenging high-demand periods like the Oregon fishing season. The ability of the park to accommodate unexpected needs, as mentioned in customer reviews, underscores a commitment to hospitality that is highly valued by local campers.

While the park offers a beautiful setting and a range of essential services, prospective guests should note that, like many long-established coastal campgrounds, some of the facilities may be slightly dated. Reviews mention that the bathrooms, while clean and stocked with basic necessities like toilet paper and soap, are "a bit run down and could use an update." This is a common trade-off when choosing a location that prioritizes direct access to nature and prime geographical positioning over brand-new, luxury facilities. Overall, the combination of essential amenities, a convenient location near popular Oregon towns like Astoria and Seaside, and a strong sense of community makes Sunset Lake Campground & RV Park an excellent base for exploring the North Coast.
