The appeal of RV travel in North Carolina lies in the freedom to explore diverse landscapes, from the Outer Banks to the Blue Ridge Mountains, with the comfort of home on wheels. However, finding an RV park that combines convenience with a truly relaxing atmosphere can be a challenge, especially near major metropolitan areas. Springhill Park excels in this regard, offering a quiet respite amidst a natural, forested environment, as highlighted by numerous visitor testimonials.
Whether you're passing through on a longer journey, visiting family and friends at the nearby universities, or seeking a longer-term base in the dynamic Triangle area, Springhill Park is designed to accommodate various needs. The emphasis here is on providing spacious, full-service sites in a peaceful setting, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay for every RVer.
Springhill Park is conveniently located at 110 Coachman Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27516, USA. This address places it just a short drive from the core of Chapel Hill, home to the prestigious University of North Carolina. More precisely, it is situated about 5 miles west of Chapel Hill on Old Greensboro Road, offering a balance between peaceful seclusion and easy access to urban amenities.
Its strategic position in the Triangle region means that major cities like Durham and Raleigh, along with Research Triangle Park (RTP), are all within a reasonable driving distance. This makes Springhill Park an excellent base for those visiting for university events, medical appointments at UNC or Duke, business in RTP, or simply exploring the cultural and recreational offerings of these vibrant cities.
The forested setting provides a natural buffer from road noise, contributing to the "chill and relaxing" atmosphere often praised by guests. Despite its seemingly secluded feel, accessibility to major roadways ensures that campers can easily navigate to and from the park, making both short overnight stops and extended stays incredibly convenient.
Springhill Park is well-equipped to meet the needs of modern RVers, offering a suite of essential services and hookups that ensure a comfortable stay. While it maintains a quiet, nature-focused atmosphere, it does not skimp on practical amenities:

- On-Site Management/Host: A manager, often praised for being accommodating and friendly, is available to assist guests, as noted in customer reviews.
It's worth noting that while Springhill Park provides excellent site-specific amenities, it does not typically offer a bathhouse or laundry facilities on-site. Campers should plan accordingly or be prepared to use their RV's facilities.

Springhill Park Reviews
We needed a nice forested place to camp not far from the university. This is perfect. About 15 mins out. I really enjoyed the trees. It was divine to read during a day or was raining under the giant canopy. So chill and relaxing. I Recommend this place.
Jun 14, 2025 · Marlohe MuseWe just had an overnight stop on our way to the final destination. Doug, the manager, was very accommodating even before we arrived. There was a long traffic jam, and our arrival was delayed a bit past their office closing time. He graciously stayed until we arrived and led us to our spot. Much appreciated! We were pleasantly surprised at how large the lots were! Ours was a long pull-through. We had no issues with hookups. The area is very quiet & peaceful. Everyone we came in contact with were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again! Please Note: Google is listing this as a hotel; it is not!
Aug 13, 2024 · Haute Interiors LLCDoug and Kevin are very helpful getting me to my lot, as a beginner to RV life they gave me great information and advice. The property is beautiful and forested and is close to town. The WiFi is surprisingly good! Lights went out during a storm but quickly came back on
Aug 02, 2024 · Joako SpamerThe campground has a state park feel because the sites are spacious and wooded. The campground is mostly occupied by long term residents. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive to unc chapel hill campus. We hope to stay again when we visit!
Aug 30, 2024 · tania wellsI moved here for work and have found both the park & staff quite delightful! Large lots, quiet, plenty of forest & fields. It's several miles out of town, but close enough that everything is convenient.Google: Please note, this is an RV park, not a hotel.
