The allure of RV living in Arizona is undeniable, offering flexibility, sunshine, and a gateway to exploring the state's diverse landscapes. Finding the right park that combines convenience, amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere is key to a fulfilling experience. Springhaven aims to provide just that, with its central Mesa location and a focus on community activities. However, like any established community, it has its unique characteristics and areas that prospective residents should be aware of before making a decision.
Springhaven RV Resort is strategically located at 4220 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85205, USA. This address places it in a highly accessible and central part of Mesa, a large and dynamic city within the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Its position on East Main Street means residents benefit from excellent connectivity to major thoroughfares, making travel throughout Mesa and the surrounding cities incredibly convenient.
The park's location offers residents direct access to an abundance of local amenities. Within a short distance, you'll find various shopping centers, grocery stores, a wide array of dining options catering to diverse tastes, and essential services like healthcare facilities. For those who enjoy leisure and entertainment, Mesa provides numerous attractions, including cultural venues, sports facilities, and opportunities for outdoor recreation. The city is home to the Mesa Arts Center, numerous golf courses, and is a gateway to the stunning natural beauty of the Superstition Mountains and Usery Mountain Regional Park.
Furthermore, Springhaven's central Mesa location means easy access to other major East Valley cities like Tempe and Scottsdale, renowned for their additional dining, shopping, and cultural experiences. The Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is also within a reasonable drive, adding to the convenience for those who travel. While a review mentioned "RV sites are short making it challenging backing into," the overall consensus on location is positive, with one resident stating, "location wise it’s a good place to be in Mesa. Centrally located and close to everything." This highlights the practical benefits of the park's placement within the bustling East Valley.

This suggests that while efforts are made, response times or the scale of work undertaken might be limited.

- On-site Management/Staff: The park has managers and staff available to assist residents. Positive feedback indicates that "The actual park managers and staff are very good," suggesting helpful and responsive on-the-ground support.

Springhaven RV Resort boasts several features and amenities that aim to enhance the quality of life for its 55+ residents, promoting an active and social community atmosphere.
- Heated Pool and Spa: A major highlight, consistently praised by residents, is the pool area. One review stated, "We enjoyed the pool area very much," and another mentioned, "The pool is new and perfectly warm; as is the hot tub." This amenity is especially valuable in Arizona's climate. However, it's noted there weren't "enough lounge chairs around the pool" in one review.
- Active Social Club & Activities: Springhaven fosters a vibrant community spirit with an "Active Social Club" and various organized activities, including pickleball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, swimming, yoga, dancing, crafting/sewing, bingo, poker, and community bands/dances/dinners. This provides numerous opportunities for residents to socialize and stay engaged.
- Dog Parks: The presence of "well kept and nice" dog parks is a significant draw for pet-owning residents, providing dedicated spaces for their companions to exercise and play.
- Fitness Center: A fitness center with equipment like treadmills, stationary bikes, and weights is available for residents. However, a review noted that "The weight room smelled," indicating a potential need for improved ventilation or cleaning.
- Clubhouse/Community Hall: The community features a clubhouse, serving as a central hub for social gatherings and events. Criticism, however, points to its condition: "The community hall needs to be remodeled and the kitchen stove is not usable due to being old," suggesting an outdated facility.
- Billiards, Shuffleboard, Pickleball Courts: For active residents, these courts and game rooms provide ample opportunities for friendly competition and recreation.
- Library / Reading Room: A quiet space for reading and relaxation is also available.
- Gated Entry: The park features a gated entrance, aiming to provide a secure environment for residents.
- Off-Season Quietness: During the off-season, the park can be "very quiet," appealing to those who prefer a more serene atmosphere during certain times of the year.
While many advertised features promote an active and engaging lifestyle, reviews consistently mention that the facilities are "very dated with little apparent interest in any major remodeling or major construction." This suggests a discrepancy between the potential of the amenities and their current state, which prospective residents should carefully evaluate.

It is highly recommended to call during business hours to speak with the park management or a leasing agent. Springhaven RV Resort holds several appealing qualities that could make it a suitable choice for Arizonans seeking a 55+ RV or mobile home community, especially those prioritizing an excellent location and a social environment. Its central position in Mesa is a significant advantage, providing residents with easy access to a vast array of amenities, including shopping, dining, healthcare, and cultural attractions. For locals who appreciate being in the heart of the East Valley with convenient travel to other parts of the Phoenix metro area, Springhaven's address is undeniably a strong draw. The "off-season" quietness could also appeal to those who prefer a less bustling atmosphere during certain times of the year, while still having access to amenities.
The community's focus on an active lifestyle, with a heated pool, various sports courts (pickleball, shuffleboard, horseshoes), a fitness center, and a robust social club with diverse activities, caters well to the interests of many retirees and active adults in Arizona. The presence of well-kept dog parks is another valuable feature for the numerous Arizonans who share their lives with pets. Furthermore, the positive feedback on the "actual park managers and staff" suggests that day-to-day interactions with on-site personnel are generally pleasant and helpful. The "price is okay for what you get," indicating a reasonable value proposition for some.
However, it is crucial for prospective local residents to factor in the persistent concerns highlighted in recent reviews. The recurring theme of "very dated" facilities and a "little apparent interest in any major remodeling or major construction" is a significant consideration. Specific complaints about the weight room smell, poorly draining showers and toilets in the men's room, an unusable kitchen stove in the community hall, and a shortage of lounge chairs around the pool point to areas where the park's physical infrastructure may not meet modern expectations. The observation that "The RV sites are short making it challenging backing into" is particularly relevant for RV owners. The sentiment that "Treehouse management and the owners seem unwilling to invest in any improvements" suggests a potential long-term issue regarding upgrades and modernization.
Therefore, while Springhaven RV Resort offers an attractive location and a vibrant social calendar for Arizonans, especially those in the 55+ demographic, it is essential to balance these positives against the noted concerns about the aging infrastructure and limited investment in upgrades. Potential residents are strongly advised to visit the park, thoroughly inspect all amenities, and speak with current residents to form a realistic understanding of the community's current condition and the level of ongoing maintenance and investment. For those who prioritize location and community spirit above highly modernized facilities, and are comfortable with the current state of the amenities, Springhaven could still be a suitable and enjoyable place to call home.
