My boyfriend and I spent the summer of 2022 in South Park Estates; and while we are Iowa natives, this was the most fantastic summer we’ve had! Keeping in mind, this isn’t a party hub, or short term stay setup.Location for the park is incredible. Just south of town, perfectly placed to easily access Walmart and Hy-Vee as they are literally down the road. Local airport is nearby, so you get free access to some pretty cool air shows when they’re running. If you’re working at Cargill, you hit no stop lights. It’s so incredibly close and made it easy for my partner to get to and from work within minutes. It is also directly south of the hospital. I didn’t opt for a mailbox (although you can!) but the pharmacy at this particular hospital is the Amazon hub for the city-so it was beyond easy to access things a small town may not have to offer.The community itself is outstanding. Never once did I feel unsafe. Most of the mobile homes are spaciously placed. The RVs are in the back of the park, and have full hookups. If you choose to (which I highly encourage); make acquaintances with the community. We typically keep to ourselves, but were invited to a local block party. Meeting the community and seeing the respect they had for each other made it clear we had found the right home for us.I’d be lying if I said there weren’t a few tears leaving this place to head south for the winter! Wayne was outstanding, kind, attentive, and so incredibly flexible. We had a few changes of dates for our departure and he was beyond willing to work with us to make it easier.Don’t sleep on South Park Estates if you’re looking for a long term spot! I can only hope that we will get the opportunity to return to Iowa Falls to come back and stay there!
