South Tourist Park RV Dump Introduce
**South Tourist Park RV Dump & Campground** is a valued city-operated facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho, that expertly combines the necessary services for RV travelers with a beautiful, natural setting for short-term camping. While often highlighted for its practical **RV Dump Station**, the facility is in fact a small, first-come, first-served city park campground situated directly along the picturesque **Snake River**.
This park serves as an excellent amenity for both transient travelers passing through Eastern Idaho and local residents looking for a close-to-home getaway. It provides essential dry camping spots, meaning there are generally no electrical or water hookups at the sites, but it offers critical supporting services to make an overnight stay comfortable. Its main draw is the unbeatable location on the waterfront, which provides direct access to the famous Snake River Greenbelt and stunning views of the surrounding area.
It is important for local users to note that the park is subject to seasonal operation, typically open for camping from May through October, contingent on weather conditions. Being a city park, the fees are generally reasonable compared to private RV parks, though overnight stays operate on a non-reservable, **first-come, first-served** basis. It is a genuine, rustic city-campground experience for those who appreciate natural beauty over luxury hookups.
South Tourist Park is conveniently located in the southern section of Idaho Falls at **2930 S Yellowstone Hwy, Idaho Falls, ID 83402, USA**. This strategic position offers immediate accessibility for RVs and trailers traveling along the major north-south corridor of US-20/Yellowstone Highway, making it a perfect stopping point before heading to national treasures like Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, or for a convenient weekend trip from local Idaho communities.

August 23 · Frederick ScottThis is a nice little city park with camping sites and a dump station on site. It’s right on the river. There is a boat ramp and dock but there is a fair amount of current so be careful loading and unloading your boat. It is right on the snake river green belt trail. Bring bikes, good walking shoes, fishing poles. For those with pets, they must be leashed at all times. Failure to do so could result in a citation.
