Snake River RV Park Introduce
Located in the heart of Eastern Idaho's largest city, Snake River RV Park & Campground provides a full-service, year-round solution for travelers seeking convenience and amenities. Positioned in Idaho Falls, this RV park serves as an excellent base for exploring the famous River Walk Greenbelt Trail, the city's charming downtown, and the gateway to world-class national parks like Yellowstone and Grand Teton. The park blends the rugged necessity of a campground with family-friendly features, including a swimming pool, hot tub, and a playground, making it a particularly attractive option for families and extended stays.
The experience at Snake River RV Park is highly focused on utility and recreation. Guests appreciate the lush, green grounds, the dedicated play areas for children, and the on-site leisure facilities. This combination of natural beauty and practical amenities creates a comfortable environment, even in the midst of a busy travel season. As a campground, it accommodates various types of travelers, offering both spacious RV sites—including pull-throughs up to 85 feet—and grassy tent areas, alongside cozy camping cabins for those traveling without an RV. The park also provides sites for long-term guests, offering a stable and reliable home for seasonal workers or those spending several months enjoying the Idaho scenery.
While the majority of feedback highlights the friendly staff, great recreational facilities, and excellent location near town amenities, transparency is key. Some guests have noted areas for improvement, particularly regarding the cleanliness and maintenance of the communal restrooms and showers. The park is situated in an industrial corridor, across from a fertilizer plant and behind a local bar, which means guests should expect some noise and the occasional industrial scent. However, for many travelers, the park's central location, low cost, and rich array of amenities—like the pool, hot tub, and pet areas—significantly outweigh these minor drawbacks, making it a popular choice for both quick stops and longer visits.
Staying at Snake River RV Park puts you right in the middle of Idaho Falls' key attractions. The city’s famous man-made waterfalls on the Snake River are only about a mile away, easily reachable via the scenic River Walk Greenbelt Trail. Within a short drive, you can find the Museum of Idaho, the beautiful Japanese Friendship Garden, the Mountain America Center arena, and the Idaho Falls Zoo. This close proximity to dining, shopping, and entertainment eliminates the need for extensive travel just for basic necessities or a fun evening out, solidifying its reputation as a convenient Idaho basecamp.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Ok I'll do the pros first: pretty grounds with lush green grass, nice playground for the kids with really pretty wildflower garden, nice little pool and hot tub, cool outdoor chess set, nice little dog park, good RV park price. And now the cons: the bathrooms are NOT clean. Ever. Even right after "cleaning" in the mornings. There's cobwebs in the corners with dead bugs that have never been cleaned, there's loads of dead bugs still on the counters left over from the night before, and the showers need repairs to the tile falling apart. The sites ARE a little close together, but we were lucky in that we had an open space next to us. The park is across from a fertilizer plant, and is behind a bar. Those things didn't bother us too much, it was really the bathrooms. The bathrooms need personnel to clean them multiple times a day, and it needs to be *thorough*. They also need to be updated. But for $50 a night I guess you get what you pay for.
August 16 · Coral RichlineThis place is underrated on here Loved this place super friendly staff very clean restrooms grounds fully stocked camp store. Well maintained i felt safe and secure staying here. Very clean pool and hot tub. Has RV and tent sites.
September 03 · Miss JudyEasy enough to find and the spots are decent with trees and level. After a 9 hour drive we were looking forward to a nice hot shower using the park facilities. Bathrooms were disgusting. Dirty, old and smelly. Showers were filthy and unkept. Sad really because the park was pleasant enough. If you go, I recommend using your camper shower no matter what!
August 04 · Jessica MorningstarCalled last week expecting to speak to Heather and was advised she had been let go. Not only was the person I spoke to completely unprofessional they were down right rude when I explained my situation.Heather was so kind & understanding when I had explained what I was needing. She went above & beyond. You cant teach kindness or compassion. Im hoping her being gone is short term. You have the wrong person in that position now.
September 01 · Erin SutherlinPretty nice RV park, my little 21' trailer had a nice spot with trees. They really need to enforce dog leash rules though. I walked my dogs always on leash and saw a number of off leash dogs. Was bad enough I didn't feel safe walking my dogs. All dogs needs to be leashed at RV parks.
