Sleepy Holler RV Park is conveniently located at 174 Sleepy Holler, Cordova, AL 35550, USA. This address places it within Walker County, in the heart of Alabama, offering a blend of rural tranquility and accessible proximity to essential services and attractions.
The park is situated off the main roads, specifically about 7 miles off Highway 78/22 (which is Future I-22) at Jasper, AL, Exit 65 (Industrial Blvd.). From there, specific directions guide visitors along Highway 5 South to Butter Milk Road. While some older reviews mention rough roads or undulating sites, the park's setting contributes to its peaceful "quiet" atmosphere, highly valued by guests seeking a break from traffic noise. Its location provides a serene environment while remaining accessible for RVs of all sizes.
Despite its peaceful setting, Sleepy Holler RV Park is remarkably close to urban conveniences. It is only minutes away from major retail outlets such as Walmart Supercenter and Home Depot, as well as numerous auto parts stores, supermarkets, doctors, clinics, a hospital, pharmacies, and various restaurants. This proximity ensures that guests have easy access to supplies, medical care, and dining options without needing to travel far.
For recreation and outdoor activities, the park's location shines. It is in the vicinity of the beautiful Smith Lake, one of Alabama's largest and most popular lakes, known for fishing, swimming, and boating. While not directly on Smith Lake, its proximity allows for easy day trips to enjoy its waters. Additionally, the park itself offers on-site natural features such as two fishing lakes. Hiking trails are also accessible nearby, providing opportunities to explore Alabama's peaceful scenery and observe wildlife like deer, turkeys, squirrels, and various bird species, making it great for bird watchers.
The town of Cordova itself, while smaller, provides a local community feel. For those seeking broader urban experiences, larger cities like Birmingham and Tuscaloosa are within a reasonable driving distance, offering a wider array of cultural attractions, shopping, and dining. This balance of quiet country living with convenient access to both local and regional amenities makes Sleepy Holler RV Park a strategically located and accessible choice for RVers in Alabama.

Aug 07, 2022 · Tina LunaIf I could give this place less than a zero I would. We pulled in late. Since I was visiting relatives I paid for 4 days ($160 cash). We set up in a rainstorm.... Electricity did not work. Oh well we will fix it in the morning. Found out in the morning the electricity did not work at all. The bathrooms did not work and the roads to the upper part of the campground were steep and had washouts in them. No way I would take my 34' motorhome up or down those roads. I asked for my money back and the woman said she did not have a key to the lock box. I was willing to pay for the night but to not refund any of the $160 was unbelievable. She agreed to send half back but did show me NO REFUNDS on the small check in card. DO NOT GO HERE.....
May 28, 2022 · Irish Hills ResortsIt's not a bad place to live. It's also reasonably priced too. It needs the road redone all the way through. They need to hire a regular maintenance man or men full-time for up keep of place. Campers are nice, but they all need work.
