The Central Valley of California, with its agricultural richness and proximity to major waterways, offers a distinct lifestyle often characterized by a more relaxed pace than the bustling coastal cities. Modesto, a key city in this region, provides a blend of urban amenities and natural beauty. Shiloh River Resort, as a private property, aims to create a secure and serene environment for its residents. Its riverside location is a significant draw, offering opportunities for outdoor enjoyment right at your doorstep.
While the overall tranquility and potential for fishing are highlighted by residents, it's also important to address all aspects of the community. One review specifically noted issues with cleanliness in certain common areas, emphasizing the ongoing need for residents and management to work together to maintain the beauty of the shared spaces. However, the potential for "catching bass," even if small, makes it a "nice spot for beginners or families to practice" fishing, suggesting a real recreational benefit. I love catching bass here they are small but it's a nice spot for beginners or families to practice. Also to even catch their first fish. Just use the Carolina rig with a night crawlers cast it by the rocks across the river, hold ur rod and slowly reel it in you will definitely feel bites. They also have 1 table bench so you can enjoy the day.
Jun 08, 2024 · Miguel DuarteAs peaceful and beautiful as the river can be I was rather disgusted at the amount of trash all over the place down there. Starting with a huge pile of trash mostly in trash bags as you walk down the alley and it opens up to the river. Trash, cans and bottles littered all over the place. Come on people clean up after yourselves. There are others who use the area with children and there is wildlife that may get injured because you are a careless slob!
Sep 23, 2020 · Deanna TiryWent there to do some fishing and check the area out. The trailer park area is kept up nice. People are proud of their homes there. The river area could be very nice but people leave their trash everywhere and have no decency or common courtesy to clean up after themselves and fill the need to tag everything and ruin the beauty. I would give it 4 and a half stars if it we're cleaned up and manage all the weeds.
Jul 09, 2018 · LindaI wouldnt call it a resort so much as a hole in the wall, blink an you missed, but you didnt miss much as its only a row of about 15 trailer homes and 5th wheels strung together alongside the river right by the river crossing. That being said; Good fishing spot so Ill give it three stars just for the fishing enthusiats who might consider that an ideal vacation so that they might consider this "resort" with zero ammenties. Well besides the obligatory hookups and that random picnic table with a firepit next to it
Jun 26, 2018 · Justin GarciaWe went there for a place to stay on our slow trip back home. My husband is a vet, so he got a 30.00 discount on our room. We pulled in to park, and found a vets only parking space. Even better! Then, we checked out the restaurant and bar and it got even better. Cynthia was an amazing server, didnt try to sell us drinks we didnt want, but did tell us about the amazing food. We ordered a plate of steak nachos and OMG, can I say amazing enough. The chef, Lore, out does herself and the owners should make sure both of those ladies stay. We also had seafood linguine, best we have ever had. If we go through there again, we will stay there .
