RV park, Campground ★4.0

4.0
Awesome place right outside Sequoia national Park nestled on a beautiful property on a River. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Lots of calm places to swim even with little kids. Dog friendly but there are black bear in the area so be cautious. Extremely fair prices and it’s so beautiful. Spots are a little close together but it’s worth it for sure especially if you get a river spot. - Michael Pass

Sequoia RV Ranch Introduce

For California's outdoor enthusiasts, finding the perfect launchpad for a High Sierra adventure is key, and Sequoia RV Ranch in Three Rivers, CA, positions itself as one of the premier choices. Nestled on a stunning property right on the North Fork of the Kaweah River, this RV park and campground serves as the closest private gateway to the natural wonders of Sequoia National Park. This location allows California travelers to enjoy the modern conveniences of an RV park while being immersed in the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada foothills, making it a highly desirable destination in the region.

Sequoia RV Ranch caters to a variety of camping styles, from those requiring full hookups for their large RVs to traditional tent campers and dry campers seeking a more rustic experience. The community’s greatest asset, as highlighted by many local visitors, is its proximity to the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks entrance, which is a mere eight miles away. This close access means less time commuting and more time marveling at the world’s largest trees, like the famed General Sherman Tree. The natural setting, combined with the relaxing sounds of the Kaweah River, creates an atmosphere of tranquility that defines the ultimate California mountain getaway.

While the demand for this prime location is high, and some guests note that the reservation process requires advanced planning, the consensus remains that the experience justifies the effort. Visitors appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, who contribute to a welcoming atmosphere despite the campground often operating at near-full capacity during peak seasons. As with any popular destination near a national park in California, potential guests should be aware that the high demand can translate to premium pricing, and the experience may differ from less-traveled areas.

Location and Accessibility

Sequoia RV Ranch is ideally situated at 43490 N Fork Dr, Three Rivers, CA 93271, USA. Three Rivers is known as the ultimate gateway town to the southern entrance of Sequoia National Park, making the RV Ranch’s location incredibly convenient for park visitors. The drive from the park entrance to the park’s main attractions, such as the Giant Forest, is then easily manageable from this location.

The unique advantage of this campground is its riverside setting along the Kaweah River. Riverfront sites are highly sought after, offering immediate access to the water, including calm places suitable for swimming, even for little kids, as noted by a grateful customer. However, the property is located in a rural, mountainous area, meaning cell reception can be limited. Customers should note that AT&T is typically the only provider with reliable cell service here. The ranch does offer Wi-Fi, but due to high usage when the park is full, speeds may be limited, reflecting the park's natural and somewhat remote location.

The park is committed to accessibility, offering a wheelchair accessible entrance and wheelchair accessible parking lot, ensuring that a broad range of California travelers can comfortably enjoy the amenities and setting. However, travelers should always be aware that the surrounding national park environment and trails have their own distinct accessibility limitations.

For those planning a multi-day exploration of Sequoia National Park, the minimal commute time is a huge advantage, saving precious vacation hours.

The riverfront sites, though competitive to reserve, offer a genuinely unique and tranquil camping environment—a private slice of the Kaweah River that few other RV parks in the area can provide.
