Scio Farms Reviews
I am writing this review because I don't want anybody to experience what my husband and I went through. I had Leah from Scio Farm, email me about Manufactured homes that were for rent. I called Leah to tell her I was very Interested In one of the rentals. I asked Leah what the requirements were to get approved. Leah said that it was based off of Income only. I told her perfect! That I did not want to apply, if it took a hit to my husband, and I credit. I sent Leah all our forms and reached out a couple of days later for an answer to our application. When I called Janet answered the phone to inform me, that Leah was out of the office. Janet told me she could look at our application statues. Janet told me that our application, got denied due to credit. I said to Janet, No Leah said the application was based off of income and not credit. Janet was like well we go off of credit. I told Janet that wasn't what I was told on the phone, by Leah. I asked to speak to a manager, Patty called me back and I explained everything to her. Her response was sorry, but we go off of credit. I told Patty why your staff would, give the wrong information. That my husband and I credit is going to get a hit. All Patty said that I will talk to my staff, and this will be a learning experience. I am sorry but giving the wrong information and causing a hit on someone's credit. All I got was a sorry from Patty, but Sorry Isn't going to change the hit on my credit. why I wrote this review, is to help people out. Don't want anybody to get the wrong information.
Mar 18, 2025 · sherry yeomanAbsolutely the worst property rental ever. When we moved in they didn't bother to turn our ac on. Our refrigerator was broken for months. Doors were falling apart you could tell the cheapest material was user for everything built in the trailer, the hot and cold water were switched in our middle bathroom the toilet in that same bathroom was running which ran our sewer and water bill through the roof. Our oven broke and although they replaced it. We were 2 weeks without a oven. All this stuff maintenence was slow to get to they Said the toilet running was our problem even though we were paying the property lot rent and rent on the mobile home. After we vacated the home. They literally went in renovated the entire mobile home and threw all the work on our tab literally the most shadiest property company ever. They do not deserve your business. I would never recommend this place to anybody it's a cash and grab
Mar 04, 2025 · Trevaughn MarshallManagement seems to change often. Salting and snow removal from roads is often half ass, or done after it has already been drove on and froze. Rules such as pets on leashes, speed limit, and sound ordinance is not enforced. Well other rules such as blinds and appearance of homes, and mowing the lawn are heavily enfored. Mail is often lost or stolen. Packages stole even more so. Lots and lots of vehicle break-ins. Multiple homes get broke- in.The best thing here are the people who contribute to our little community. We do have a good number of great people who look out for others in the neighborhood.Prices of homes are insane! Buying a house is likely cheaper than renting or owning in the park. Even owning your trailer and just paying lot rent is running people around $1000 a month!
Jan 10, 2025 · SpencerMay 2025: Update: New Manager, and she is a goody. I really like her, she has the knowledge and the people skills, she is a tiny young woman, and she is fair. I like her. I think she is going to be good for the park. She has done some things for the park that no one has seen, but it is for the good of the whole park. This was a good move on behalf of Sun Communities. Ms. Patty, I wish you much success, I think this community is really going to like you and you will do them fair.2024:I go back and forth with this community. On one hand I like the location, on the other hand the park is always dirty. They have told me they hire a sweeper to come in, but I have only seen once, but I work a lot; cig butts from the humans and poo from the animals are everywhere. Most time I see folks and they have a pet but they are not carrying a bag and it appears the tinier the dog, well the poo must be so small they don't think they have to pick it up, and they don't and it is disgusting, and no clean up from grounds crew. I don't go to the pool so that does not bother me. I go to the weight room and that is nice. They also have a remoteless key for entry, that is nice.I notice the management changes frequently. They had a lady in their for a long time and I liked her, but she has since moved on, her name started with a 'J', we all miss that lady, she was real, sad they could not keep her. She was helpful. I called yesterday and someone answered the phone, not the standard Jeanette and she sounded like she came from something, idk what. I usually don't call the office because honestly if you own your place, they do not have much of a responsibility to you.The maintenance, idk what they do. Most of the time, I guess they are handing out tickets, yes they issue tickets now for all sorts of things, so they spend most of the time doing this - unproductive. They should be plowing but why do they put all the snow in the driveways? We shovel and then they plow us in right afterwards. I have no idea how the seniors deal with this. It is pitiful. Did I mention that we pay at least 870 a month for lot rent and that does not include anything but your lot and tickets if you don't mow your lawn or if you don't mow it according to their time schedule. On the bright side they do try to hire folks that are nice for the most part, and I guess that hearing no from someone nice is better than from someone who is not nice.......
