Sandy Riverfront Rv Resort Introduce
Welcome to Sandy Riverfront RV Resort, a premier destination for RV enthusiasts, travelers, and outdoor lovers located in the historically rich and visually stunning landscape of Troutdale, Oregon. Situated right on the banks of the beautiful Sandy River near its confluence with the mighty Columbia River, this RV park offers an exceptional base camp for exploring the natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest. As a dedicated RV park, it specializes in providing necessary infrastructure and amenities for travelers utilizing recreational vehicles, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay, whether for a night or an extended vacation.
The resort is more than just a place to park; it's a launchpad for adventure and a serene retreat from the road. The setting is universally praised, with many guests specifically loving their **riverfront sites**, which offer beautiful views and unique wildlife sightings, such as seals in the river. This intimate connection with nature, combined with the convenience of full hookups, makes it a top choice for those seeking a picturesque yet practical camping experience in the Oregon region.
While the resort excels in its natural setting, prospective guests should note a few operational details. The resort's business model appears geared toward short-term, transient visitors rather than long-term, full-time residents, a policy reflected in some customer feedback. Additionally, guests mention some ambient **transportation noise** from trains, private planes, and helicopters, typical for a location near major transport corridors and the Columbia River. However, many visitors find that the perfect natural setting more than compensates for this minor inconvenience. The management style also receives mixed reviews, with some guests finding the front desk personnel "unfriendly," while others simply note the restrictive hours for services like tokens for laundry, requiring more planning.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The old lady in the front desk is very unfriendly. Acts as if she’s “better than you” for whatever reason. They also cater to non full-timers in hopes to get more money out of people that stop for a night or two? Not sure but doesn’t seem like a good business model. If you are looking to stay for a few months for work I recommend you look elsewhere!
August 17 · SandraWe loved our riverfront site at Sandy Riverfront! Beautiful spot, our Starlink internet worked perfectly on the pole, and we even saw seals in the river from our window. Lots of trails connected to the park, and a wonderful small restaurant within walking distance. There is transportation noise (trains/private planes/helicopters), but it didn't really bother us because the setting otherwise is perfect. As others mentioned, the laundry is also fairly restrictive with having to get tokens when the office is open. Just required more planning.
April 26 · Grace AndesThis park is clean, has lots of trees, fairly large sites, everything we need. You have access to the river, can walk across the street to a nice ice cream and sandwich shop, and is five minutes from the freeway and shopping. There are quite a few full timers, which is perfectly fine with me. Very nice residents and visitors.
May 27 · Danny BeersWell managed. Sites are paved and pretty level, but close to eachother as expected in private campgrounds. Some are shaded. Decent free WiFi, enough for streaming movies. 3 miles to blue line train station to downtown Portland and 30 minutes drive to Columbia gorge. Walking distance to coffee and food pods. Close to railway tracks with some train noise. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Laundromat. Need to get tokens from office. Park with few trails across the enterance.
August 16 · Rolling DunesIt’s worth noting that this RV resort only accepts reservations for -new- RVs. They requested pictures of and then denied our 2004 Airstream Safari due to this slight scratch/dent on the front left panel. Although this is a gorgeous rig with many upgrades and tons of effort on our part to remodel and maintain its original integrity - they still denied our business. 3 weeks worth of business. I feel bad for the nice employee who had to relay this disappointing news to us. We explained it would cost 10K to replace one of these panels but it made no difference. We are not interested in supporting this elitist, status based business model, based on fake exterior rather than integrity. Think twice before staying here.
