Riverside Introduce
Welcome to Riverside Mobile Home Park, a residential community nestled in the bustling heart of Orlando, Florida. For many Floridians, securing an affordable and comfortable place to call home in a desirable metropolitan area like Orlando can be a significant challenge. Mobile home parks, also known as manufactured home communities, offer a distinct and often more accessible pathway to homeownership or long-term rental, providing an alternative to traditional housing options. Riverside aims to provide such a setting, offering a centrally located community that, despite some reported inconsistencies, strives to offer an affordable and quiet living experience. This article will offer a comprehensive overview of Riverside Mobile Home Park, detailing its location and accessibility, the typical services found within such a community, its key features, contact information, and a concluding thought on why it might be a suitable choice for local users in Florida.
Mobile home parks play a crucial role in Florida's housing market, offering a unique blend of independent living within a managed community structure. They are often sought after by individuals and families looking for more space than an apartment, without the higher costs and maintenance responsibilities of a traditional single-family home. Riverside Mobile Home Park, situated in Orlando, caters to this demand by providing a community-focused environment. While some resident feedback points to areas for improvement in management and maintenance, the core appeal of Riverside, as highlighted by a resident, lies in its "quiet-ish" atmosphere, "centrally located" position, and "decent price in this economy." This combination can be a significant draw for those navigating the competitive Orlando housing landscape. For anyone considering their living options in Central Florida, understanding both the advantages and potential considerations of a community like Riverside is essential for making an informed decision about their next home. It’s about finding a place that balances affordability with a sense of personal space and location convenience.
Riverside Mobile Home Park is located at 1681 Semon Drive, Orlando, FL 32828, USA. This address places it in a highly central and accessible part of Orlando, within Orange County. Semon Drive is part of a residential network that branches off larger thoroughfares, ensuring relative quiet while maintaining excellent connections to the wider city.
The park's "centrally located" position is a significant advantage for residents. It provides convenient access to a vast array of Orlando's renowned attractions, including Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios Florida, and SeaWorld Orlando, making weekend entertainment and leisure activities easily reachable. Beyond the theme parks, residents have straightforward access to major shopping centers, diverse dining options, healthcare facilities, and a variety of employment hubs throughout the Orlando metropolitan area. Major roadways such as State Road 408 (East-West Expressway) and State Road 417 (Central Florida GreeneWay) are typically within easy reach, facilitating commutes to downtown Orlando, Orlando International Airport (MCO), and other surrounding communities. While one review mentions "traffic" and "proximity to flood zone areas," these are common considerations in a rapidly growing, low-lying major Florida city like Orlando. The balance of a relatively quiet residential street with unparalleled access to Orlando's economic and recreational opportunities makes Riverside Mobile Home Park a practical choice for Floridians seeking convenience in their daily lives.
Mobile home parks typically provide a core set of services aimed at facilitating comfortable and managed living for their residents. While direct, comprehensive details for Riverside Mobile Home Park based solely on the provided reviews are limited, common offerings in communities of this type in Florida generally include:
- Lot Rental: Residents own their manufactured home but lease the land (lot) it occupies. This lot rent usually covers the cost of maintaining common areas and the park's infrastructure.
- Utility Hookups: Each mobile home lot is equipped with essential utility connections for electricity, water, and sewer. Residents are typically responsible for their individual utility bills, though sometimes water or trash collection can be included in the lot rent.
- Community Management: A management team is responsible for the overall operation of the park, including enforcing community rules, addressing resident concerns, and overseeing maintenance. However, one review mentions "The people at the office don’t answer calls or emails and never open the door at the office," indicating a potential area of inconsistency in this service.
- Common Area Maintenance: Management is generally expected to maintain shared spaces like roads and landscaping. However, reviews note the "neighborhood always looks a mess," "Grass rarely gets cut," and "Pot holes everywhere," suggesting a challenge in consistent upkeep.
- Waste Management: Trash collection services are usually provided. However, one review highlights "the dumpster always a mess with trash around the outside," indicating potential issues with this service.
- Communication: Timely communication regarding park-wide issues, such as water disconnections, is an expected service. The review mentioning getting a "message hours later to advise" of water disconnection points to a potential area for improvement in this aspect.
Riverside Mobile Home Park offers several features that, despite some reported challenges, can appeal to residents seeking a particular lifestyle in Orlando. Based on the provided customer feedback, here are some key features and highlights:

This makes it an accessible starting point for a "mobile home journey."
- Central Orlando Location: The park is "centrally located," offering residents convenient access to Orlando's vast array of employment centers, shopping, dining, and world-renowned attractions. This prime location is a major draw for those wanting to live within the city's dynamic environment.
- "Quiet-ish" Atmosphere: Despite being in a busy city, one review describes the park as "quiet-ish," indicating that it offers a relative degree of peace compared to more bustling urban settings. This allows for a more relaxed home environment.
- Sense of Community: The phrase "we're kind of in our own little world" suggests that residents can foster a strong sense of community and belonging within the park, creating a private enclave amidst the city.
- Potential for Independent Living: Mobile home living provides residents with their own detached home, offering more privacy and personal space compared to apartment living, even if homes are in close proximity.
- Proximity to Amenities (External): While internal park maintenance has mixed reviews, the park's location ensures excellent external access to grocery stores, restaurants, and other essential services in the surrounding Orlando area.
- Managed Community: Despite specific challenges, the presence of management means there is a structure in place to address issues, even if responsiveness varies.

See my FULL review under "Riverside mobile home park" via Google maps...Riverside is a decent neighborhood to start your mobile home journey, def no Deerwood (not owned by lakeshore management) or Alafaya Palms (OWNED by lakeshore management), but it's quiet-ish, centrally located, decent price in this economy, and we're kind of in our own little world. If you can handle a little inconsistency, under and mis-communication, proximity to flood zone areas, and traffic, come visit and see if you can call our slice of heaven home. 🏡
Sep 11, 2023 · VonnieHorrible experience living here. The neighborhood always looks a mess. Grass rarely gets cut and the dumpster always a mess with trash around the outside. The people at the office don’t answer calls or emails and never ooen the door at the office. Pot holes everywhere. When the water is disconnected you get a message hours later to advise.
Aug 12, 2023 · RUBIA EKI was visiting that area in search of buying a house and I was disappointed by the garbage dump that was in one of its surroundings. It is disappointing that in a place like that you see things like that.
