Quiet RV Park

445 Gum St, Bridge City, TX 77611, USA

4.0
Great low price for you budget oriented travelers and turnaround warriors! The owner is a nice guy, always around if you need him basically anytime, and he is easy to work with if you need something! It's a very nice, quiet RV park as the name suggests in a neighborhood but right down the street from Walmart, Raceway, Dollar General, CVS, etc. Lots of stores close by. There are no amenities in the park but there is a Reliable Cleaners 2 - 3 miles from the park. There is no concrete here for spaces so if you need that to feel comfortable this isn't the place for you. I have never experienced any flooding type situations or stepping out into big water puddles like some places. The owner makes sure that he adds gravel as needed to keep things like that from happening. I have a 30' bumper pull and it fits quite nicely with room for my 1/2 ton to park beside it. There is a 5th wheel that is there and can probably fit another 1 or 2 depending on your driving skills but smaller bumper pulls or small 5th wheels are perfect here. If you're coming in from out of town to work turnarounds at the refineries or chemical plants then on your way you can stop off on the side of the highway and do some fishing after work to relax some as this place is right by the Gulf. The plants and refineries are anywhere from 10 to up to 30 minutes from here depending on traffic and which plant or refinery you're working at. There are plenty of good restaurants in town and a few good bars to go sit and have a drink at to relax after a hard days work. When you're in the park, you aren't ever bothered by anyone. They all pretty much stay to themselves except for an occasional "hello" from them. No loud music or people working on things outside making a lot of noise so it really is a very quiet place to stay. - Tray Brown

This article will explore the specifics of Quiet RV Park, including its convenient location, the practical services it offers, its distinct features, and why it's an ideal choice for locals and visitors seeking a low-key, comfortable RV experience in Southeast Texas.

Location and Accessibility

Quiet RV Park is strategically located at 445 Gum St, Bridge City, TX 77611, USA. This address places it within a residential neighborhood in Bridge City, a key advantage for those seeking a tranquil environment away from the direct noise of major highways. Bridge City itself is a community situated in Orange County, Southeast Texas, known for its proximity to significant industrial areas and the natural beauty of the Gulf Coast.

The accessibility of Quiet RV Park is a significant benefit, especially for "turnaround warriors" working at the numerous refineries and chemical plants in the region. These industrial facilities are typically located anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes away, depending on traffic and the specific plant, making the park a convenient base for a temporary work assignment. While nestled in a quiet neighborhood, the park is also "right down the street" from essential amenities and services. This includes a Walmart, Raceway gas station, Dollar General, and CVS, ensuring that residents have quick and easy access to groceries, fuel, and daily necessities.

Furthermore, Bridge City's location in Southeast Texas offers access to various recreational activities. For those who enjoy fishing, the park is "right by the Gulf," allowing for convenient after-work fishing trips to relax. The area also boasts plenty of good local restaurants and bars for unwinding. Despite being a smaller park, its street access is manageable, though larger RVs might need to navigate carefully due to "deep ditches" along the street, as noted by a past guest. Overall, the park's location strikes an excellent balance between peaceful living and practical access to both work opportunities and local conveniences, a combination highly valued by its residents.

Services Offered

Quiet RV Park, while focusing on affordability and tranquility, provides essential services to ensure a functional and comfortable stay for its residents. Based on customer feedback, here's what you can expect:

  • RV Site Rentals: Offers spaces for various RV sizes, with indications that it's "perfect for smaller RVs" and can accommodate 30' bumper pulls comfortably, with some larger 5th wheels fitting, though with tighter parking space.
  • Utility Hookups: Provides necessary hookups for RVs, though availability of 50-amp service may vary. One review noted running on 30 amps due to 50-amp not being available at the time, suggesting both options are generally present but subject to demand.
  • Dedicated Owner/Manager: The park benefits from an owner who is "a nice guy, always around if you need him basically anytime, and he is easy to work with if you need something!" This hands-on management ensures resident needs are addressed promptly.
  • Gravel Sites: The park features gravel spaces. The owner "makes sure that he adds gravel as needed to keep things like that from happening," referring to preventing flooding or large water puddles, demonstrating proactive maintenance.
  • Trash Services: While not explicitly mentioned as a specific service, a well-managed RV park, particularly one focusing on cleanliness and long-term stays, would provide regular trash disposal.
  • Security and Safety: Although not a formal "security" service, the quiet neighborhood setting and the owner's consistent presence contribute to a safe environment where residents "aren't ever bothered by anyone."

It's important to note that the park explicitly states "no amenities in the park." This means traditional RV park amenities like on-site laundry rooms, restrooms, showers, or recreational facilities are not provided directly within the park. However, local alternatives are available, such as "Reliable Cleaners 2-3 miles from the park" for laundry, and plenty of "good restaurants in town."
