While some public feedback has highlighted areas for improvement regarding general upkeep and responsiveness, it's important for locals to understand the context of this park. As part of the Old Settlers Association property, its primary focus might lean towards supporting the association's events and historical preservation, while also offering basic RV accommodation. The park states it is "not a long-term RV park," indicating an intention for shorter, more transient stays, likely catering to visitors attending specific events or exploring the immediate Round Rock area. For Texans seeking a quick, accessible spot with full hookups and proximity to major attractions like Old Settlers Park, this park offers a straightforward solution.
It's crucial for prospective visitors to manage expectations and consider recent reviews, which suggest challenges with maintenance and communication. One review noted, "Tried to get reservations here for the Frontiers Day celebration @ the Old Settlers town park down the road. Left 3 messages & no one ever called me back. Found a nice place to stay @ in Georgetown instead. We drove through this park out of curiosity when we got there. The place is nasty, with junk all over the place and broken down trailers. Their website says no one is supposed to be living here, but it's obvious there is. Needless to say I'm glad we didn't stay there & no one returned our calls. Steer clear." Another highlighted a significant pest issue: "We stayed at Old Settlers RV Park for just over 2 months. We now have fast multiplying roaches in our unit. I woke up this morning to see a roach in my coffee pot and another one in my coffee cup. We have killed over 10 roaches this morning. All this has occurred after applying insecticide too." These concerns suggest that while the location is undeniably convenient, potential guests should verify current conditions and availability directly before planning their stay, especially if a pristine environment and consistent service are high priorities. For those prioritizing immediate access to Old Settlers Park and sporting events, and who are prepared to assess the site upon arrival, it could still serve as a functional overnight or short-term parking option within Round Rock.

Jul 25, 2023 · Renee KHAfter numerous calls and having left 2 voice messages with no return calls I finally got to speak to a lady at the listed number. I asked about the fee for an overnight stay and was told there was no availability and they have been full since October. I asked if people live there and she said no, they have a company that has paid for all the sites for their employees. My suggestion is don’t waste your time on this RV park
Mar 19, 2024 · maylynn whitlockConvenient to lots of things to do and see. Well maintained with friendly staff. Walking trails and great playground just across the street. Do not take reservations so it's not always easy to get the spot you want. However, manager is often able to find a place you can dry camp till something becomes available. Reasonably priced. Try to stay here every time we go through.
Jul 29, 2017 · Ellen BradleyThe RV park is nothing special (just a gravel lot), but the location is great and it's a third of the price of any place around. However, they do not enforce the 4 week stay limit, so there are people pretty much living there or worse, just using it was storage. It makes it near impossible to get a spot, even if you come check every morning (like I did for a week). I wish they would do something about this as I'd loved to have stayed here while in Austin.
