Oaks senior Community Reviews
I'm tossed between 2 and 3 stars. As far as the living in this park, it is very quiet, pretty secure, rent is fair in today's economy and I feel safe walking my dog and kitties around here. It is quite a maze though. I got lost when I first got here and took my old dog for a walk. Now the bad.My boss has been here 23 years. He pays his rent always although during his greiving and because he is losing his memory he has been a little late a couple of times so I am stepping and to help him with that. He has some cars that he came with 23 years ago parked in his front yard, but are non operation right now and have been for a few years. I have my car and truck here as well. We have both discussed putting them down in the storage area but taking into consideration the fact that his motorhome is down there and have had the window busted out in the front grill taken off, we are not so comfortable with doing that.Came outside yesterday as I was getting ready to leave somewhere and found the maintenance guy in my boss's yard taking pictures of the vehicles and their license plates. No notice no warning did not give us 24-hour notice before entering the property and did not get our permission to take pictures. That is invasion of privacy. He said the owner has been trying to contact my boss. It seems to me if you really want to get in touch with somebody and you can't get them on the phone because he doesn't answer his house phone because there's so many telemarketers that call, then I would think the owner would send a message along with the late rent fee charge letter that never seems to miss a beat in getting to his mailbox. Also, there are other tenants in this park that I have spoken to that have issues with their property which is supposed to be maintained by the maintenance guy. Nobody answers the phone, nobody returns calls, nobody even picks up the registered mail. But once again they sure are quick to get out those late fees they're right on top of that.I tried to discuss these issues with the groundskeeper while he was walking around taking pictures of our vehicles and he said well who are you anyway you're not registered with us. California state law through the caregivers rights and responsibilities states that no HOA or mobile home park is to expect and caregiver to register and be accepted. We work for our rent we don't have to be credit checked. Our clients have the right to choose who they want to care for them so that they can stay in their home. The illegally entered this property and do whatever they want without any kind of notice. Apparently they don't have enough maintenance crews around here to be able to respond to the tenants needs and don't let your cats out at night they trap them and Lord only knows where they go.It's really sad to think that one person can act so kind to your face and complain behind your back too. Nobody has ever said anything to my boss about the cars and seriously, only the three other houses in this court can see them. I know who the complaint came from and I am highly disappointed in her.
Sep 21, 2023 · Lynda Lee AlversonCan't get any one to return your calls. Called multiple times over the past 3 weeks. The park phone number on Google, is for an answering service, who says they'll pass your message onto the park manager; either the answering service never let's the manager know that you've called, and, or, the manager doesn't care to call you back.If you go into the park office, it's always closed with no one in it. The number on the office door, for the park manager and for maintenance concerns is for the same answering service. This is unprofessional park management at it's finest. My grandmother was interested in buying a home in the park; she couldn't get a hold of the park, over the phone, or in person. If management can't be concerned enough to answer her calls or mine, before she even becomes a resident, it shows me that this isn't the park for her to live in.Imagine if she was a resident and had a problem or an emergency; she wouldn't have park management to help her.Really sad seniors are treated this way. Definitely will not be buying a home here.
