This address places the community squarely within Concord, a vibrant city in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Concord offers a compelling mix of small-town feel and big-city access, being an integral part of the Charlotte metropolitan area.
The park's specific setting on Monta Drive suggests a residential atmosphere, potentially offering a quieter environment away from the direct bustle of major commercial arteries. However, its position within Concord ensures residents maintain excellent accessibility to a comprehensive range of local amenities. Furthermore, Concord's advantageous geographical location provides exceptional regional connectivity. Major roadways, notably Interstate 85, are readily accessible from Oakland Glen, offering quick and convenient routes to Charlotte and other significant economic hubs and attractions across North Carolina. Manufactured home communities like Oakland Glen typically provide foundational services related to the management and maintenance of the shared community infrastructure. Based on the provided resident feedback, Oakland Glen offers:
Lot Leasing: The primary service involves leasing individual lots to residents who own their manufactured homes. The park is responsible for maintaining the leased land and common areas.
Water and Trash Pickup: A long-term resident noted that their original agreement included "water, and trash pickup" as part of their monthly lot rent. This indicates that these essential utility services are handled by the community, simplifying resident responsibilities.
On-site Management: The park has an active management presence, as evidenced by the positive feedback regarding "Yandis, the office manager" and the mention of "new management in the office." This suggests there are staff available to address resident concerns and oversee park operations.
Home Maintenance and Repairs (for park-owned homes or issues): One resident's experience highlights that new management, specifically Yandis, facilitated significant repairs on their home, including "home door, to my bathroom bathtub, windows, and even electrical," all done efficiently by "great carpenters." This indicates that for park-owned homes or issues that fall under park responsibility, maintenance and repair services are provided and can be highly responsive under effective management.
It is important to note, however, that one long-term resident's review highlights a discrepancy between advertised amenities and actual offerings. They state: "When you google the community it states that we have amenities that we do not have. There is no pool, dog park, on site security, or laundry room." This suggests a need for prospective residents to verify advertised facilities directly with current management, as some expected amenities may not be present.
Oakland Glen Manufactured Home Community presents several features that may appeal to prospective residents, alongside some notable considerations based on resident experiences:
Responsive Management for Home Issues: A significant highlight is the exemplary responsiveness of the new management, specifically mentioning Yandis. A resident shared a highly positive experience where critical home issues (bathroom, windows, electrical) were addressed and fixed promptly within two days, leading to a feeling of security and comfort. This demonstrates a commitment to resident well-being when issues are brought to management's attention.
Sense of Pride and Comfort: The successful resolution of home issues led to a resident feeling "proud to be here" and their family feeling "a lot more comfortable," indicating that effective management can significantly enhance the living experience and foster a positive community sentiment.
Established Community: With residents having lived there for 12 years, Oakland Glen is an established community, which can offer a sense of stability and familiar surroundings. This long-term residency suggests that, despite changes, the community has provided a home for many over time.
However, there are important points of concern that also serve as highlights for prospective residents:
Discrepancy in Advertised Amenities: As mentioned, a long-term resident explicitly states that previously advertised amenities like a pool, dog park, on-site security, and laundry room are not actually present. This is a critical point for anyone evaluating the community's offerings.
Rising Lot Rent: A resident noted a substantial annual increase in lot rent, from an initial $265 to $590 monthly over 12 years, without corresponding "extra amenities or extra perks." This indicates a significant increase in living costs that potential residents should factor into their budget and inquire about future projections.
Enforcement of Community Rules (Children Supervision): A resident expressed frustration over the lack of supervision of children running in the road, stating it violates community rules and lease agreements (no one under 17 unsupervised). This suggests challenges in rule enforcement, which could impact the safety and peace of mind of other residents.
Specific promotions or special offers for Oakland Glen Manufactured Home Community are not detailed in the provided information. Manufactured home communities typically manage their pricing and incentives based on current occupancy rates, market demand, and the specific terms of lot leases or home sales.
While no explicit promotions are mentioned, prospective residents might inquire about common offerings that could include:
Competitive Lot Rent for New Agreements: While existing residents have seen increases, new lease agreements might be offered at a competitive rate to attract new residents, though it's important to understand the typical annual increase structure.
Move-in Incentives: Such as reduced security deposits or waiving of certain initial fees, especially if the park has vacant lots or homes it manages.
Home Sales Programs: If the community also facilitates the sale of manufactured homes, they might have financing options or other incentives for purchasing a home within the park.
Given the noted increases in lot rent and the importance of verifying amenities, it is crucial for interested individuals to contact Oakland Glen Manufactured Home Community directly. Discussing your specific needs and asking detailed questions about current pricing, lease terms, rent increase policies, and available amenities will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information.

It is highly recommended to reach out directly to the office manager, Yandis, or other staff members during business hours. A direct conversation and a personal visit are invaluable steps in assessing if Oakland Glen is the right fit for your living needs.
For North Carolina residents seeking an affordable housing option in the Concord area, Oakland Glen Manufactured Home Community offers a living situation with both appealing aspects and important considerations. The community's location in Concord provides a balance of a residential setting with convenient access to the city's amenities and the broader Charlotte metropolitan area, making it practical for commuters and families alike. A significant positive is the highly responsive and effective management under new leadership, exemplified by Yandis, who has demonstrated a commitment to addressing critical home issues promptly, fostering a sense of pride and comfort among residents. This proactive approach to maintaining the living standards within homes is a strong indicator of a supportive environment.
However, prospective residents must conduct thorough due diligence, particularly regarding the discrepancies in advertised amenities. The absence of facilities like a pool, dog park, or laundry room, contrary to some online descriptions, means that individuals seeking these specific amenities might need to look elsewhere or adjust their expectations. Furthermore, the significant annual increases in lot rent without additional perks, as highlighted by a long-term resident, suggest that while initially affordable, the long-term cost of living could become a considerable factor. Issues with the enforcement of community rules, specifically regarding unsupervised children, also warrant consideration as they can impact the overall peace and safety of the neighborhood.
In summary, Oakland Glen Manufactured Home Community could be a suitable option for North Carolina locals prioritizing a community with attentive management for home-related issues and a convenient location. However, it is essential to verify current amenities and understand the precise terms of lot rent and potential increases before committing. By engaging directly with the park management and asking targeted questions based on the provided feedback, prospective residents can make a well-informed decision about calling Oakland Glen home in Concord, NC.

Oakland Glen Manufactured Home Community Reviews
Have lived here 12 years and it used to be a great community. No one wants to supervise their children and they allow them to run the road alone when it is part of the community rules and part of the lease agreement that no one under 17 is allowed unsupervised. When you google the community it states that we have amenities that we do not have. There is no pool, dog park, on site security, or laundry room. Over the past 5 years they have increased rent annually by 30 to 50 dollars. When i came here my agreement was for 265 a month for lot ,water, and trash pickup. I own my home. Now I am at 590 monthly. I have no extra amenities or extra perks. If it was affordable I would have moved by now.
Feb 09, 2025 · chastity wynnFirst off, I would like to thank Yandis, for doing more than the average office manager would have done to help someone. I moved in very quick in the summer of 2023 there was a lot of things that wouldn’t of passed inspection, and the mobile home it was basically thrown back together initially, I had no choice but to move in with my one year year-old at the time and my wife. Several months later, there was new management in the office and I explained to her that we couldn’t bare the problems the trailer had in it and we were ready to leave for our families sake, thankfully Yandis took immediate attention to what I mentioned and was able to act on it with great carpenters that do it all, they fixed my home door, to my bathroom bathtub, windows, and even electrical. I couldn’t complain anymore and this was done in a well managed way in 2 days. My family and my self now feel a lot more comfortable knowing our standards are to be met and it’s just about paying for a place to stay. Yandis made me feel proud to be here.
Mar 27, 2024 · Branden OrtizI bought my place signed a 7 year lease been here 3 years now they won't renew my lease .now I have to find a place for me an my kids
Feb 06, 2025 · Donald peckI have lived here for many years and I have always had good experiences. The staff are friendly and attentive. If I had any issues, they were there in a day or less! It is quiet and I feel safe there. My daughter, when she visits, goes to the playground and during the winter she sleds with other children who live there. My neighbors are respectful and some have become my friends. I would recommend this neighborhood to anyone!!
Oct 31, 2017 · Elizabeth WeatherfordI have called this park six times and have never had anybody answer the phone and I am calling from out of state. You are offered a second phone number that you can send a text message to but once again nobody calls you back. I guess I just don't exist . Maybe they should hire somebody to answer the phone, when you try to leave a message the mailbox is full so you're just wasting your time. The only thing this park has done for me so far is to piss me off
