Oakdale Mobile Home Park Introduce
Nestled within the serene embrace of Sunland, California, Oakdale Mobile Home Park offers a truly distinctive living experience that sets it apart from many urban residential options. Far from a typical mobile home park, this community is celebrated by its long-term residents as an "oasis in the desert," a place where the tranquility of nature harmoniously blends with the conveniences of urban living. For Californians seeking a home that offers both affordability and a vibrant sense of community, Oakdale Mobile Home Park presents an appealing and often highly sought-after alternative.
The concept of mobile home parks has evolved, and Oakdale Mobile Home Park exemplifies a community that values its unique natural features and fosters strong resident bonds. Unlike some perceptions, modern manufactured home communities can offer well-maintained homes within thoughtfully designed environments. One resident, having lived there for nine years, emphatically states, "I don’t know what people talk about that hate it here... it’s a beautiful little community that Topanga Canyon wishes it could be." This powerful endorsement speaks volumes about the quality of life and the strong sense of belonging felt by those who call Oakdale home.
A defining characteristic of Oakdale Mobile Home Park is its extraordinary natural setting. The presence of a "spring fed year-round creek" running through the property creates a picturesque and cooling environment, often making the area "5 to 10° cooler." This natural feature attracts an abundance of wildlife, including "bullfrogs, owls, raccoons, coyotes, squirrels, possum, skunk," and contributes to the "beautiful natural greenery" that permeates the park. The charming "bridges across over elephant ear ferns with 4 foot wide leaves" further enhance the idyllic atmosphere, making daily strolls within the park a refreshing experience.
Furthermore, the community's stability and the value it offers are highlighted by its rent-controlled status, allowing residents to build equity while enjoying manageable living costs. The fact that "nobody’s selling, so there’s usually no vacancies" underscores the high desirability of living here, with residents recognizing "a good thing and they’ve got it." This combination of natural beauty, community spirit, and long-term value makes Oakdale Mobile Home Park a truly special place to live in the heart of urban Southern California.

The park's position on Sherman Grove Avenue provides convenient access to major transportation arteries. Residents are in close proximity to Foothill Boulevard, a main commercial thoroughfare, and the 210 Freeway. Oakdale Mobile Home Park Reviews
I’ve lived here for 9 years and the management is just like any other place. There’s no problem with the water. I don’t know what people talk about that hate it here. If a guy thinks there’s a rat infestation it’s in his own gawd dang house. There’s a spring fed year-round creek, bullfrogs, owls, raccoons, coyotes, squirrels, possum, skunk, beautiful natural greenery, and It’s always 5 to 10° cooler near the creek with bridges across over elephant ear ferns with 4 foot wide leaves. All form of wildlife live here and most people are extremely happy knowing they live in a special place in the middle of urban America under rent control while building equity. You can’t please everyone I guess. The reason it’s hard to get a hold of the manager sometimes is she’s usually busy talking to clients in the park. Also, nobody’s selling, so there’s usually no vacancies, but when there are management has moved in a brand new unit . So there’s also no vacancies because everybody knows a good thing and they’ve got it. We have a community room with a fireplace and an air conditioner and a pool table. People bring food and share with others. All the neighbors know each other. It’s a beautiful little community that Topanga Canyon wishes it could be and it’s 20 minutes from downtown.
Feb 16, 2025 · Player XI lived here in space #39 for 15 years. It's an oasis in the desert but has always had a wacky cast of characters. I finally got out in 2011 for a relationship and move to Idaho and Montana. It's rent controlled but these days not s cheap as it was in 1996 when I moved in with my little Airstream. I traded that for a Silver Streak 33ft and sold it where it sat. Looks to be gone now. Lot's of memories but good location close to the studios for movie work.
Jul 20, 2024 · Mark YorkI recently visited this park looking for a place to rent. I came to the managers office and no one was there?? I called the number that they had on the window of the office. The manager “Anthony” answered my call right away and then I realized he was the guy trimming bushes in this little area by the office. He apologized for being dirty which I totally get. He was doing yard work. He then told me that they don’t have units for rent, but did have lots that my bf and I could move our home into. He dropped what he was doing and showed me around to see the spaces available. After the fact I returned and walked the park with my bf to show him and was spoken to by a man that said he was of some sort of group for the park. He said that management wasn’t good and the company wasn’t doing much for them. That was not my experience at all. The manager helped me out and walked me through what it would take to move in and gave me recommendations on a trailer that would be suitable to be moved in. I also spoke to this nice lady and she told me that the manager was awesome and always was there to help her no matter what. She seemed very genuine and so did the manager. I would give 5 stars, but that man from that group was very awkward and gave me very bad vibes.

Jan 31, 2018 · Yolanda Sanchez LunaIt's a nice place manager is optimistic some neighbors in the other hand are miserable will look for a flaw to get you in your skin. Still I have no complaints when it comes to living here it's great, the other neighbors are okay.
