For Alabamians considering Mount Olive RV Park in Coker, the decision hinges on balancing its undeniable natural beauty and affordability with the significant concerns raised by some past visitors. On the positive side, the park offers a genuinely beautiful natural setting and a generally quiet atmosphere, making it a peaceful retreat for those who appreciate the outdoors. Its prime location near Lake Lurleen State Park is a major draw, providing easy access to recreational activities like hiking and fishing, which are highly valued by many local residents.
Furthermore, the park's allowance for year-round residency can be a suitable option for individuals or families seeking an affordable, long-term living arrangement in their home state, particularly compared to the rising costs of traditional housing. The availability of full hookups (30/50 amp, water, sewer) provides the essential conveniences for comfortable RV living.
However, it is crucial for locals to be fully aware of the serious negative feedback highlighted in recent reviews. Reports of inappropriate public behavior from certain long-term tenants, concerns about theft, and issues with unruly pets and interpersonal drama within the park are significant considerations, especially for families with children. The advice to "watch your stuff" and descriptions of a "tasteless" environment are strong indicators that the community atmosphere may not be suitable for everyone.
Therefore, for Alabamians, if a serene natural setting and affordability are paramount, Mount Olive RV Park might initially seem appealing. However, it is highly recommended that prospective residents or long-term visitors conduct a thorough on-site visit, observe the general atmosphere, and if possible, speak with current residents to gauge the immediate living conditions and community dynamics. Addressing any concerns directly with park management before committing is vital. For those who prioritize a consistently family-friendly environment with strong safety assurances and consistent decorum, it may be prudent to explore other RV park options in the wider Northport/Tuscaloosa area that better align with those specific needs.

Mount Olive RV Park Reviews
The natural scenery was beautiful but they must allow people to live there year round or else we would have paid more to go somewhere else. I was appalled when a woman in her 50's or 60's with long hair and wearing nothing more than underwear it looked like approached my husband to ask him to do something for her while our boys were looking on. I was furious that a woman could just approach family men more than half naked and it was clear she was living there from the poor condition of her camper and junk around it. Another tenant told us to watch our stuff because she was a convicted thief . Tasteless

May 10, 2019 · Vanessa jonesI live by this place and and I have smelt weed and people letting kids throw rocks and glass bottles at and over my fence and a pit bull dog that has came in my yard a few time and barks at my family every time we are outside like it’s going to attack us of it wasn’t on a chain. I’m not going to put up with it anymore and the next time I have a complaint I’ll call the sheriff.

Sep 23, 2021 · Susan LongI visit a client in one of the homes nearby and had so much trouble out of a dog I sought out and recognised the owner and they really ought to require mandatory references from where they were right before coming there because Tina Baggett caused so much havoc and damage to somebody that was letting her stay there for free and there's evidence on YouTube of what she did that so much hate and threats were being made the Coaling Police removed their Facebook page and it seems that 2 men that she was staying with her have had their houses burn down so that's a lot of hate and retribution for innocent people to be around.
