Mack's Pines stands out as the "Trailriding Headquarters of the Ozarks," offering direct access to hundreds of miles of trails for ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, horseback riding, hiking, and mountain biking. After a day of adventure, the convenience of an on-site cafe and store means you don't have to venture far for a delicious meal or any essential supplies. Mack's Pines is ideally situated at 22816 AR 7, Dover, AR 72837, USA, a strategic location that positions it as a gateway to the vast and beautiful Ozark National Forest. State Highway 7 is renowned as one of Arkansas's most scenic byways, ensuring that the journey to Mack's Pines is as picturesque as the destination itself. This prime address offers exceptional accessibility for travelers arriving by RV or car, while also providing direct entry to the region's abundant outdoor activities.
The park's most significant location advantage is its immediate proximity to an extensive network of trails within the Ozark National Forest. It's located between two major trail systems: the Moccasin Gap Recreation Area, just 1.6 miles north on the west side of Highway 7, boasting over 30 miles of marked trails and loops, and the eastern side, locally known as Illinois Bayou, offering around 30+ miles of marked and looped trails, plus hundreds of miles of unmarked trails. This means that ATV, side-by-side, dirt bike, horseback riding, hiking, and mountain biking adventures are literally right at your doorstep.
Beyond the trails, the surrounding area is rich with natural beauty, including numerous waterfalls, creeks, rivers, and diverse wildlife. Mack's Pines is central to several scenic motorcycle trips along Highway 7, with stunning vistas at every turn. While offering a sense of being "away from it all," the park is still conveniently located near the town of Dover for basic necessities, and larger towns like Russellville are within a reasonable drive for more extensive shopping or services. This perfect balance of remote adventure and accessible convenience makes Mack's Pines a highly desirable destination for exploring the heart of the Arkansas Ozarks.

May 30, 2025 · Steve ArnoneThis is a great place to stay! The restaurant has very good food. The burger was very good ,chicken strips and fries, and the breakfast was amazing, especially the toast!. There is some cell service there and they had wifi at the restaurant. They even have a bath house /restroom. Greg is very knowledgeable of the area he can get you pointed in the right direction. Definitely bring your map tracking apps. On x offroad ,polaris ride command, and maperika are all great. You can't ride it all in a weekend. There are plenty of great trails lots of Technical off camber places and big rocks. We had a polaris ranger 900 crew and we managed to make it through everything we did 43 miles on Saturday.
Mar 24, 2024 · jamey parksIf you are an ATV/OHV enthusiast this is the place for you. We camped here with our fifth wheel and RZR for a week during the fall of 2022. Hundreds of miles of beautiful trails to explore. All levels of difficulty. This place is absolutely breathtaking. The campground is basic with fairly narrow pull through spots but we were extremely happy with our spot. We have a 39 fifth wheel with three slides and there was room for our truck and RZR too.Greg the owner was fantastic. I called and left a message and Greg got back to me right away. We booked just the week before and he moved a few things around to accommodate our stay. He called the day before to see what time we would be arriving however we were running late so he called about a couple hours after to make sure we were ok.When we were ready to hit the trails we went to the main office to find out which ones to hit and Greg spent about 20 minutes with us helping us Download the Maprika Ozark OHV map and showed us what trails to hit.We rode for six days and met some amazing people. We would definitely recommend if you are a riding enthusiast.
