Lucerne Lakeside is strategically located at 39 1/2 Azalea Dr, Winter Haven, FL 33881, USA. This address places it in a highly desirable part of Central Florida, known for its picturesque lakes, vibrant local culture, and convenient access to major urban centers. Winter Haven itself is celebrated for its chain of lakes, offering ample opportunities for boating, fishing, and various water sports. The park's specific location on Azalea Drive ensures a tranquil residential setting while still being close to essential amenities and services.
Accessibility is a key advantage for residents of Lucerne Lakeside. The park is situated with easy reach of major roadways, including US-27 and Polk Parkway, which provide straightforward commutes to larger cities like Orlando and Tampa. This connectivity means residents can enjoy the quieter pace of Winter Haven living without sacrificing access to employment opportunities, entertainment venues, and healthcare facilities found in the broader Central Florida region. For daily needs, a variety of grocery stores, retail centers, and dining options are just a short drive away, making errands and social outings incredibly convenient. The proximity to local attractions, such as Legoland Florida Resort, contributes to the area's appeal, offering recreational opportunities for residents and their visiting families.
- Lawn Care: Historically, the lot rent at Lucerne Lakeside included lawn care services. This amenity provided significant convenience for residents, ensuring well-maintained common areas and individual lots without the need for personal effort or expense. While recent changes have shifted this responsibility to residents, it's important for prospective residents to inquire about the current status of included services and understand what is covered in their lot rent.
- Garbage Collection: Regular garbage collection is a standard service provided at Lucerne Lakeside, contributing to the cleanliness and hygiene of the community. This eliminates the need for residents to arrange for separate waste disposal, simplifying daily living.
- Water Service: Water utility is another service that has traditionally been included in the lot rent. This integrated approach simplifies billing and ensures consistent access to essential utilities for all residents within the park.
- Community Management: The park operates under the management of a dedicated team. While experiences with management can vary, the presence of on-site or accessible management is intended to address resident concerns, maintain community standards, and oversee the general operations of the park. Prospective residents are encouraged to engage with current residents and management to understand the current operational practices and support available.
- Friendly Residents: Based on customer reviews, Lucerne Lakeside is characterized by its friendly resident community. A welcoming and sociable environment can significantly enhance the living experience, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual support among neighbors. This aspect is often a major draw for individuals and families seeking a close-knit community.
- Well-Groomed and Maintained (Historical): Previous residents have praised the park for being well-groomed and maintained. A visually appealing and tidy environment reflects positively on the management and residents' pride in their community. While there have been recent concerns about a decline in maintenance, the historical reputation suggests a commitment to a pleasant living space. Prospective residents should visit the park to assess the current state of maintenance and inquire about ongoing efforts to uphold community standards.
- Affordable Living Potential: Mobile home parks often present a more affordable housing option compared to traditional stick-built homes, especially in desirable locations like Winter Haven. While lot rents are subject to change, the overall cost of living, including property taxes and maintenance, can be significantly lower, making it an attractive choice for those on a budget or seeking to maximize their retirement savings.
- Community Atmosphere: Beyond the physical amenities, the inherent community atmosphere is a significant highlight. Mobile home parks often facilitate closer relationships among residents through shared spaces and activities. This can lead to a supportive network, regular social interactions, and a sense of collective well-being.

Lucerne Lakeside mobile home park in Winter Haven, Florida, presents a compelling option for local residents seeking a specific lifestyle and housing solution. For those deeply rooted in the Central Florida area, or individuals looking to relocate within the region, Lucerne Lakeside offers a unique blend of community living and practical benefits.
Firstly, its strategic location in Winter Haven is a significant advantage for locals. Residents can enjoy the charm and slower pace of a mid-sized Florida city, characterized by its beautiful lakes and community-oriented atmosphere, while still being within a reasonable commuting distance to the larger economic hubs of Orlando and Tampa. This means access to diverse job markets, world-class entertainment, and specialized healthcare facilities are all within reach, without the daily hustle and bustle of city living. For locals, this balance provides the best of both worlds – a peaceful home base with urban amenities just a drive away.
Secondly, the community aspect, particularly the reported friendliness of its residents, makes Lucerne Lakeside highly suitable for Floridians who value social connections and a neighborly environment. Many Floridians, especially retirees or those seeking a more settled lifestyle, often look for communities where they can easily form bonds and participate in local activities. The inherent structure of a mobile home park, with its shared spaces and often organized social events, naturally fosters such interactions. This can be particularly appealing to individuals looking to downsize from larger homes and find a supportive new social circle.
Furthermore, mobile home parks like Lucerne Lakeside can offer a more financially accessible route to homeownership in Florida. With rising housing costs across the state, the opportunity to own a manufactured home and lease the land can be a more affordable alternative for many locals, including first-time homebuyers, those on fixed incomes, or individuals looking to free up capital. The historically included services like water, garbage, and lawn care (though subject to change and needing verification) further reduce the ongoing financial burden of home maintenance, making it a practical choice for budget-conscious residents.
While recent feedback suggests some shifts in management and services, it's crucial for prospective residents to conduct their own due diligence, visit the park, and speak with current residents to get the most up-to-date picture. However, the foundational elements of Lucerne Lakeside – its prime Winter Haven location, potential for a strong community, and historical value proposition as an affordable living option – continue to make it a relevant and suitable choice for many Florida locals looking for a comfortable and connected place to call home. For those seeking a vibrant community atmosphere amidst the natural beauty of Central Florida, Lucerne Lakeside remains a property worth exploring.

Lucerne Lakeside Reviews
Nice Park , friendly residents. Well Groomed and maintained.
Oct 24, 2018 · Kevin st gelaisI've been here since 2013. I moved here so I would not have to take care of the lawn. The lot rent included the lawn, garbage and water. This Inspire company keeps going up on the lot rent and now we have to take care of our own lawn. This place is a mess!!!! It has gone down since this company took over. The manager doesn't care what your feelings are, he will let you know that he's getting paid regardless. I used to praise this place. Now I can't wait to find somewhere else to go!!!

Jul 02, 2024 · carlitos FaithNew manager. YES another one! Mr. John McDonald. He has told the residents that this is now a 18 and under mobile home park. He stated whatever he implements in this mobile home park is " solely at his discretion ". Unable to get any answers from corporate office. No parking for guests! No accomodations for the disabled. Lucerne Lakeside should not be advertising and marketing this place as a 55 and over community. IT'S NOT! I've been here almost 13 yrs now. Park changes hands appx every 2 yrs. 8 managers ( if not more ) in less than 3, 4 yrs! Rent checks are being returned to tenants and fines added bcus we questioned an added 9% administrative fee in June's invoice. Had a fabulous view when I moved in. It truly was my main purpose for the purchase. It's beautiful here when properly cared for. No longer do I have a view! I posted b4 and after photos. Lakeside cleaning is a thing of the past. Rents keep going up. Services diminished! They lost a great, honest, dedicated worker when they let go of Mr. Don. He was a previous maintenance guy. I must say the maintenance personnel Inspire / Bedrock employ are good, hard working, respectful folks. Their management team? Not so much. No one's ever in the office. I have never paid rent late! We own our homes, but not the property. We're fairly knowledgeable on the 723 M.H.A. that governs this industry. We are waiting on management to proceed with whatever legal remedies they see fit, so that we may deposit our rents at the Polk, County Clerks Office. We are looking forward to going before a judge.
Dec 13, 2023 · Lus Sandy MashalHere for appx 13 years. In the past few years Lucerne Lakeside has changed ownership, approximately every 2 , 3, years or so? Homeowner's suspect they were denied the right of 1st refusal. Had to hire an atty to compel the purchase contr hubact be produced. We finally recieve a highly redacted copy of the parks purchase contract. It was alleged to have appreciated by an estimated 4 million per year.! M.H.O at Lucerne Lakeside would have loved the opportunity to reap such a profit ! We haven't seen a water quality report in years. Scary, due to the black sludge that accumulates on faucets. It must be bleached daily. A huge % of the park residents have to use bottled water for drinking and cooking. Management? I honestly stopped counting with 8, 9, managers in approximately 3 or 4 yrs.! My lakefront view is now of 7ft high weeds. In my 13 years here I've never once been late on rent. Yet in June it was refused. A new questionable 3% increase for an administrative fee. Most of the mngrs were no doubt just following orders. In fact many have stated, " they have the full backing of corporate office behind them ." It's unconscionable but they are now requiring our Disabled Veterans, and our elderly residents to trim, mow, and even cut trees! At our age ? climbing? Please! We're not stable on solid ground! That's a lawsuit waiting to happen! These new demands of our elderly and disabled Veterans should not be tolerated! Nor should we be threatened with eviction and forced to pay excessive 50$ + fines. Our health limitations and disabilities don't allow them / us to abide by these cruel new rules and requirements. These services were included, and extremely vital in the decision making process to purchase here, at Lucerne Lakeside. There are so many abuses being perpetrated @ this park. We haven't had the legal right to peaceful habitation of our homes. And it's been going on for years now . My statements here are verifiable. Lus Sandy Mashal.
