Littlefield MHP Introduce
Littlefield MHP (Mobile Home Park), located in Lumberton, North Carolina, represents a significant option for individuals and families seeking affordable community living in the region. Like many mobile home parks, it provides a structured environment where residents can find a place to establish their manufactured homes. It aims to offer a sense of neighborhood and a more budget-friendly alternative to traditional housing, catering to a diverse demographic within the Lumberton area.
The resident experience at Littlefield MHP appears to be a mixed bag, as indicated by recent reviews. While one review acknowledges it as a "nice place to stay," this is balanced by strong concerns from others. Several residents have expressed significant dissatisfaction, particularly after a change in management, stating they would give the park "0 stars if I could." Key issues raised include a perceived lack of adequate security, with claims that "Security they say is 24 hours is a joke," leading to worries about "house broken in." Other concerns include the presence of "so many kids always walking around" and the park being "very dark at night," contributing to a feeling of being "not safe." Additionally, while some might find it a "nice place," others find the "rent is too high" for the value perceived. These candid observations highlight important factors for prospective residents to consider when evaluating Littlefield MHP as a potential home.
Littlefield MHP is situated at 9048 NC-41, Lumberton, NC 28358, USA. This address places the mobile home park along North Carolina Highway 41 (NC-41), a state highway that runs through Lumberton and connects it to other communities in southeastern North Carolina. Lumberton itself is a strategic location in Robeson County, benefiting from its intersection with major transportation routes, including Interstate 95 (I-95). While NC-41 is a primary route, the specific location on this highway typically provides a balance between being accessible and being within a more residential or semi-rural setting.
The accessibility of Littlefield MHP from various parts of Lumberton and surrounding areas is generally straightforward due to its frontage on NC-41. This allows for relatively easy commutes to essential services, local businesses, shopping centers, and dining options within Lumberton. Being on a state highway, it likely experiences consistent traffic flow, which can be a double-edged sword: good for convenience, but potentially less secluded than properties off main roads. Prospective residents should also note that some reviews indicate concerns about security and lighting, particularly at night, which could impact the perceived accessibility and comfort of the common areas within the park. The location provides practical convenience for daily needs while requiring an awareness of these specific community characteristics.
Littlefield MHP, as a mobile home park, offers the fundamental services essential for residents to live comfortably in their manufactured homes. These services are typically standard for such communities, although the quality or effectiveness can vary based on management practices.
- Individual Home Lots: The park provides individual spaces, or pads, for manufactured homes, each equipped with the necessary hookups for utilities.
- Utility Connections: Essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity connections are available at each lot. Residents are typically responsible for setting up and managing their individual utility accounts.
- Internal Roads: The park maintains internal roads that allow access to all lots within the community.
- Waste Management: Like most residential communities, Littlefield MHP would provide services for waste disposal, likely through communal dumpsters for residents' convenience.
- Community Rules and Regulations: To ensure an orderly and respectful living environment, the park would have a set of rules and regulations governing resident conduct, property maintenance, and community standards.
- Management Presence: While reviews indicate issues with a specific management company ("timeout"), there is an implied presence of management to oversee the park's operations, collect rent, and address resident concerns (though effectiveness may vary).
Littlefield MHP possesses several features that shape the living experience for its residents. While some aspects are inherent to mobile home park living, resident feedback highlights specific points that are important for prospective tenants to consider.
- Affordable Housing Option: As a mobile home park, one of its primary features is offering a more budget-friendly housing solution compared to traditional homes in Lumberton, making it accessible to a wider range of individuals and families.
- Community Environment: It provides a structured community setting where residents live in close proximity, fostering a neighborhood feel, though the nature of community interaction can vary. The presence of many children "always walking around" suggests a family-friendly demographic.
- Established Park: Being an established mobile home park implies an existing infrastructure and a settled residential base, rather than a new development.
- Concerns Regarding Security: A significant highlight from reviews is the reported inadequacy of security measures. Claims of "24 hours is a joke" and "house broken in" suggest that residents perceive a genuine security risk, which is a critical factor for personal safety and peace of mind.
- Poor Nighttime Lighting: Reviews mention the park being "very dark at night." Insufficient lighting can contribute to safety concerns and make residents feel less secure, impacting the overall living experience after dark.
- Management-Related Issues: The negative sentiment tied to "timeout" management indicates potential inconsistencies or dissatisfaction with how the park is administered, which can affect everything from maintenance to responsiveness to resident issues.
- Cost Considerations: While mobile home parks generally offer affordability, one review mentions "the rent is too high," suggesting that perceived value for money might be a concern for some residents.
- Convenient Location (NC-41): Its placement on NC-41 offers direct access to a major state highway, providing practical convenience for commuting and accessing local amenities.

Littlefield MHP Reviews
I would give this park 0 stars if I could. Since timeout has this park it has gone down. First off there's so many kids always walking around. Secondly don't move here if you don't want your house broken in. Security they say is 24 hours is a joke. It is also very dark at night. Do yourself a favor and bypass this location. Not safe.
