Little River Marina & RV Park and Old Black Water Restaurant Reviews
This is a hidden gem. This was my first time dining here and my wife’s second time. After the first bite, I see why she wanted us to come back together. The food is delicious. The restaurant is extremely clean. Great seating and it is on the water. It is spacious and open.Tiffany was our server. She had a great attitude and provided great food recommendations and drink explanations. My wife had the shrimp basket and chef salad. With a blackberry margarita. She love her margarita. Tiffany recommended it and explained what it is made of thoroughly.Tiffany recommended the Mississippi Bomb Cheesesteak for me. This was an excellent choiceIt is a mix of a shrimp Po’boy and a cheesesteak. It was delicious! The combination worked perfectly together. There is a gravy that comes with it. I dipped the sandwich in the grave and oh boy..The gravy takes the taste to a different level of deliciousness. The closest thing I can compare it with is a French dip sandwich with Au Jus but there is no comparison. This sandwich is delicious.Tiffany recommended me trying the river ranch with jalapeño sauce. It adds a little spice and tastes great also.If you live here, close by, passing by on vacation and are looking for a scenic place to eat with delicious southern food, seafood and drinks, put this location in google maps or your car’s navigation system and come here. You will not be disappointed
Jan 06, 2025 · B WellsThe luck of our original plans being canceled brought us to this amazing place! The food, service, staff, friendly customers, views and amenities were all amazing! Stayed 3 nights in the RV park and I believe we ate there 5 times. Mississippi Bomb (Philly with fried shrimp on top), Creola’s Cajun Pasta, Shrimp Tacos, Grouper Bites, Gumbo, onion rings, fries and let’s not forget the Grilled Oysters on the half shell at the attached Oyster Bar beside the restaurant. Both overlooking the bayou and marina. These are just the amazing things we ate in the three days we were there. Thank you Frankie and staff!
Mar 18, 2025 · foster latnerI was impressed by this spot. Very nice restaurant, the food was very good as well. I had the grilled shrimp with potato salad and a side salad. The shrimp did not even need any sauce. They were delicious. It was a good portion for the side salad, and it was good as well! Will be back!
Mar 14, 2025 · Lauren CherieWe waited over an hour for chicken nachos and a pound of boiled shrimp. The beer was not cold at all. When we finally got our food, the nachos were cold and the shrimp were overcooked. Our waitress was super nice and apologized multiple times. I wish I could give the waitress a review based solely on her performance; she would receive five stars. The restaurant would get zero stars; however, because of her, I am giving a three-star overall rating.
Feb 09, 2025 · johnny cheramieMore like 2.5 stars but not an option. We ate at Old Blackwater in Escatawpa last night 3-7-25, the food was good, wait staff in restaurant as well, kitchen is somewhat understaffed apparently; as it took FOREVER for food to make it to the table, we were warned when order was placed that there was about a 45 min wait to get food. Not a big group there were 6 of us we were more interested in fellowship than the food so we opted to stay vs. going to a different restaurant but took an hour plus for some of us to get our food after order was placed .I think them supporting their oyster bar and a full service restaurant is a bit much for them to handle at the moment, we met as a group at 18:30, some did not receive food until 20:30 only 2 tables being served by time we left ours and one other 6 person table.I'm not sure how long they have been open, but if they want to stay open they need to resolve this, I have heard others with similar complaint, it is good but slow...we gave them the benefit of the doubt even after being warned, maybe not; next time we will heed the warning.I wish them the best, maybe "Jake Tapper Bar Rescue" needs a trip to the Coast.
