Lincoln Road RV Park Introduce
Hello, Oklahoma RV travelers! As you explore the beautiful southeastern corner of our state, you might find yourself looking for a convenient place to rest your wheels in or near Idabel. Lincoln Road RV Park is one such option, offering a basic yet accessible stopover for those on their journey. We understand that every RV traveler has unique needs and expectations, and transparency is key when choosing your next spot. Lincoln Road RV Park, while described by some as "small and dirty" with a "very very low quality" feel, particularly regarding its driveway, has also been noted for its "very nice and helpful" office staff and the presence of appreciated "shade trees."
Idabel, Oklahoma, serves as a gateway to the stunning natural attractions of McCurtain County, including the popular Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park. While some RV parks in the region offer extensive amenities and resort-style experiences, others, like Lincoln Road RV Park, may cater more to those seeking a no-frills, practical place to park. This article will provide you with a factual overview of Lincoln Road RV Park, based on available public information and customer feedback, covering its location, the services it likely offers, its notable features, and what to consider when deciding if it's the right fit for your Oklahoma adventures.
Lincoln Road RV Park appears to be a smaller, more utilitarian RV park primarily serving as a convenient stopover in Idabel, Oklahoma. Reviews suggest a varied experience among visitors. On one hand, the park is acknowledged for its "shade trees" and the helpfulness of its "office guy." These are valuable assets, providing natural cooling and friendly assistance, which can make a significant difference, especially during Oklahoma's warmer months.
However, it's crucial to acknowledge the consistent feedback regarding the park's condition. Descriptions like "very small and dirty" and "very very low quality" suggest that the park may not meet the aesthetic or maintenance standards of all RVers. The most prominent concern highlighted is the "awful" and "very very horrible" driveway, which has reportedly caused RVs to "drag the back end... into the ground very hard." This is a critical piece of information for any RV owner, as vehicle damage is a serious consideration. Additionally, one review mentioned an issue with the owner's policy regarding Airstreams, suggesting specific restrictions that potential guests should be aware of. While this park might offer basic accommodation, prospective visitors should manage their expectations regarding overall quality and accessibility, particularly concerning the driveway and any specific RV type restrictions.
Lincoln Road RV Park is located at 710 NE Lincoln Rd, Idabel, OK 74745, USA. Idabel is a town in southeastern Oklahoma, known as the "Dogwood Capital of Oklahoma" and serving as a regional hub for McCurtain County. While the town itself offers basic amenities and local attractions like the Museum of the Red River and the Red Slough Wildlife Management Area, its primary draw for RVers is often its proximity to the more famous recreational areas of Broken Bow and Beavers Bend State Park, which are roughly 15-20 miles away. This makes Idabel a potential stopover point for those traveling to or from that popular tourist destination.
The park's address on NE Lincoln Road places it within the town of Idabel, offering relatively easy access to local services. However, a critical point of accessibility, as repeatedly mentioned in customer reviews, is the park's driveway. It is described as "awful" and potentially damaging to RVs, particularly on entry and exit, with a high likelihood of dragging the back end. This severe limitation suggests that while the location in Idabel is geographically accessible, the direct access into and out of the park itself presents a significant challenge for many RVs. Prospective visitors, especially those with longer rigs, should heed these warnings and consider alternative routes or parks if this is a major concern for their vehicle's clearance.
Based on the typical offerings of a smaller, more utilitarian RV park and limited public information, Lincoln Road RV Park likely provides essential services to facilitate basic RV stays. However, specific details are sparse, and some commonly expected amenities may not be available or may be of lower quality, as suggested by the reviews. Likely services include:
- Basic RV Hookups: It's probable that the park offers fundamental hookups such as electrical connections (likely 30 and 50 amp to accommodate various RVs), water hookups, and sewer connections at the individual sites. These are standard for any operational RV park.
- Shade Trees: A notable feature praised by a reviewer, the presence of "shade trees" offers natural cooling and a more pleasant outdoor environment, especially welcome during warm Oklahoma days.
- On-Site Assistance: The mention of a "very nice and helpful office guy" indicates that there is some form of on-site or readily available staff to assist guests, which is a positive for addressing immediate needs.
- Long-Term Stays: While not explicitly stated in the provided reviews, many smaller RV parks, especially those in less tourist-centric areas, often cater to longer-term or monthly residents who are working in the vicinity.
Given the feedback about the park's overall quality, it is less likely to offer extensive amenities such as bathhouses, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, or recreational areas commonly found in larger, higher-rated RV resorts. Prospective guests should contact the park directly to confirm specific services and ensure they meet their minimum requirements.
While some aspects of Lincoln Road RV Park receive negative feedback, there are a few features that are highlighted positively or are inherent to its nature:
- Friendly and Helpful Staff: The "office guy was very nice and helpful," which is a significant highlight. Positive human interaction can greatly improve a stay, even in a basic park. This suggests a willingness to assist guests despite other limitations.
- Shade Trees: The presence of "shade trees" is a definite plus, especially in Oklahoma's climate. They provide natural cooling and a more pleasant outdoor ambiance at individual sites. This feature was specifically noted as a reason for a higher rating.
- Location in Idabel: Being located in Idabel offers a convenient base for exploring McCurtain County. While the park itself has accessibility issues, its geographic location places guests within a reasonable driving distance of popular destinations like Broken Bow Lake, Beavers Bend State Park, and the Museum of the Red River, as well as local dining and shopping in Idabel.
- Potential for Budget-Friendly Stays: Given the feedback on its quality, it might offer more economical rates compared to higher-end parks in the more tourist-heavy Broken Bow/Hochatown area, making it an option for budget-conscious travelers.
It's important for visitors to weigh these positive points against the noted significant drawbacks, particularly the condition of the driveway and the overall perceived "low quality."

For Oklahomans considering Lincoln Road RV Park in Idabel, it's important to approach this option with specific expectations. It may be suitable for certain local travelers, but certainly not for everyone, particularly those with newer or larger RVs. Its primary suitability might lie in its potential as a very basic, budget-friendly stopover for those who are highly experienced with RV maneuvering and are not concerned about vehicle clearance issues, or for those whose immediate priority is simply a spot with hookups in the Idabel area when other options are unavailable.
The "very nice and helpful office guy" is a definite plus, offering a friendly point of contact and assistance. The presence of "shade trees" is also a genuine benefit, providing some comfort from the Oklahoma sun. For locals who might be working in the Idabel area on a temporary basis and require a minimal, affordable place for their RV, and are willing to overlook significant aesthetic and access challenges, it might serve a very specific niche. Its proximity to Idabel's basic amenities and a relatively short drive to Broken Bow's attractions means it's geographically connected to regional interests.
However, the strong and consistent warnings regarding the "horrible" driveway and the risk of RV damage ("extremely likely to drag the back end of your rv into the ground very hard") cannot be overstated. Similarly, the reported restriction on Airstreams and the general assessment of "very very low quality" suggest that this park is far from a typical recreational destination. For most Oklahomans seeking a comfortable, stress-free RV experience, particularly those heading to the scenic recreation areas, it would be prudent to "push a bit further and find somewhere in Broken Bow if u can," as one reviewer suggested. Lincoln Road RV Park appears to be a highly niche option, perhaps best considered only when other, higher-quality alternatives are exhausted, and with a full understanding of its significant physical limitations.

Lincoln Road RV Park Reviews
This park is very small and dirty. It does have shade trees which is the only reason I gave 2 stars. The driveway is awful to get into and out of. ....on your way out you are extremely likely to drag the back end of your rv into the ground very hard. I don't like giving bad reviews but I respect others in rvs and trailers and want them to be expecting what we were not. Having said that the "office" guy was very nice and helpful...it is just a very very low quality rv park. Mainly just the driveway is very very horrible. I just wish I had known what we were driving into so now you know. If possible push a bit further and find somewhere in broken bow if u can
