For those interested in fishing, the park is near the Mosquito Lagoon, known for its excellent fishing and shrimping opportunities. However, it is worth noting that some feedback mentions the internal roads of the park are "super tight one way roads with virtually no parking accessible," which could be a consideration for larger RVs.

For RVers in Florida, particularly those looking for a convenient stopover or a base for exploring the Space Coast, Lathroms Landing RV Park South in Mims offers a pragmatic option. Its direct accessibility from I-95 is a significant advantage for those on the go, minimizing detour time and making it an "EZ On / EZ Off" location. This convenience is a key factor for many Florida travelers who prioritize efficient transit between destinations.
The park's full hookup sites (electric, water, sewer) ensure that essential needs for RV living are met. The presence of amenities like a swimming pool, bathhouses, laundry facilities, and a dog park provides a degree of comfort and convenience that can enhance a stay. For those with pets, the dog park is a welcome feature, allowing furry companions to stretch their legs. The availability of daily, weekly, and monthly rates also offers flexibility, catering to both short-term visitors passing through and those looking for a more extended stay to explore the surrounding Mims and Titusville areas.
However, it's important for Florida residents considering this park to manage their expectations based on varied feedback. While some newer information suggests a "new owner" striving for a "very clean place" and being "very nice and friendly," older reviews highlight concerns about the park being "rundown and dirty," with "spots are crammed" and "super tight one way roads." Issues with water quality ("water smells like poop"), maintenance of facilities ("bath house never has paper towels"), and a noted abundance of gnats from sewer connections have also been mentioned. Furthermore, isolated reports of overcharging for electricity and misdirected mail suggest that careful attention to personal billing and mail delivery might be necessary for long-term residents.
Ultimately, Lathroms Landing RV Park South could be suitable for Florida locals who prioritize ease of access from the interstate and essential hookups, and who are comfortable with a more rustic setting. For those who value a sparkling new facility or a highly organized, pristine environment, it may be advisable to contact the park directly for the most current information or consider it for shorter, more functional stays while exploring the Space Coast region. Its value may lie in its practical convenience for transient travelers and its proximity to key Florida attractions, rather than a resort-style experience.

Lathroms Landing Rv Park South Reviews
Almost stayed with my pup in the park but was never able to get in contact with someone that works there. Drove through when I was in town and seemed to be a blessing in disguise. Park is rundown and dirty. Spots are crammed and seemed to be full of long term residents with some dumpy lots. Super tight one way roads with virtually no parking accessible. Between the visual state of the park and the rating already, I would skip this stop!
Jun 27, 2025 · KTNot the nicest people. Water smells like poop, bath house never has paper towels. Oh and gnats that come from the sewer where you hook your camper to, to dump is overwhelming. I don’t recommend. I was there a year and it was not the best. Oh and I was over charged 3-4 months for electricity. I literally had to do the math myself. Only nice thing was the pool. Mail gets put into wrong slots.
Apr 08, 2025 · Kimberly Keesler (Wifey)Do not stay here unless you want to be scammed! Owners offered us an out on our prepaid month due to water issues on the parks end and then refused to pay us after the fact! They have NO maintenance number/ 24 hour contact ability for emergencies. Property is old and unmaintained. Water smells disgusting both from the hookups and from the “lake” they have. Owners are unreachable at the two numbers they provide. We tried going to the clubhouse, calling for days upon arrival. No one ever showed up there or called us back. So we just checked in ourselves and went about our business. If you want change for laundry machines, they ask you to go to some random persons camper to get such. The main problem is we were 10 days into our month stay. We had water access removed twice in less than a week’s time, both without any notice, warning or contact at all. There was no communication from the park whatsoever. During the first incident of no water, my husband and I had to call 4 times each to both numbers listed. Once we finally got the owners wife on the phone; she was NASTY! Demanded to know if it was our fault the water wasn’t working. We explained it wasn’t our hookups and the bath house was out of water as well. She snarked that she’d come down and ended up fixing it eventually. Still no email, texts or any warnings. The next time comes a couple days later, again no water with no warnings or communication. We again had to call the park multiple times. The owners wife finally answered and was so disgusting to talk to again. She threw a fit about how they spent 20k on a water system that doesn’t work and told me it wasn’t her fault. I told her all we expected was some sort of communication when these things happen, and let her know this would be our only month staying in the property. She said ok and hung up. Not 15 minutes later and I was sent this text. We did decide to go ahead and leave the next day with 19/30 days left in the month. The rude wife is trying to claim she only owes us $400 out of the $973 (without tax) we paid for the month. We were only there for 11 days of the month, we are owed $627. She tried to call and bully my husband into agreeing to the $400 but we did not and won’t agree to it. She claimed the state would think she was “laundering money” if she gave us the full refund back. Super sketchy. Don’t let them fool you and let them try to take your money!
Jun 11, 2025 · MarieI can't stay here on my upcoming trip because I have 3 kids. I've never heard of a campground restricting to 4 people total per site. We are a family of 5, so we are excluded. There isn't even an option to pay for an additional person. Just not welcome.
Jun 18, 2025 · Lindsey BillheimerPark was nice, clean pool, a little unorganized upon arrival but the owner made it right, she was very nice and helpful helping us back in. There were two paddle boats to use to paddle around the pond free of charge.
