Landfall Introduce
For Minnesota residents seeking an affordable, community-focused place to call home, Landfall Mobile Home Park offers a unique and established option within Washington County. Situated in the distinct City of Landfall, which is primarily comprised of this manufactured home community, it represents a pioneering model for accessible housing in the Twin Cities metro area. This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and factual overview of Landfall Mobile Home Park, designed to help local Minnesota users understand its unique structure, benefits, and why it might be the ideal place to raise a family or settle down.
Landfall Mobile Home Park is more than just a place to live; it is the heart of a small, incorporated city. This distinctive arrangement means that the community is managed with a strong focus on its residents' well-being and the long-term preservation of affordable housing. Unlike many privately owned parks, Landfall's city-owned structure provides a degree of stability and commitment to its residents that is highly valued. For decades, it has served as a vital resource for low-to-moderate-income families, providing a pathway to homeownership and a supportive community environment.
The concept of manufactured home living offers numerous advantages, particularly in terms of affordability. Residents typically own their homes while leasing the land, which often results in significantly lower housing costs compared to traditional stick-built homes in the surrounding affluent suburbs. This financial accessibility is a cornerstone of Landfall's mission, ensuring that quality housing remains within reach for many Minnesota families. Beyond the economic benefits, Landfall emphasizes a strong sense of community. Residents often highlight the neighborly spirit, describing it as a great place to raise a family, despite the natural "ups and downs" inherent in any community. The dedication of past maintenance staff, like Troy, who went "above and beyond" with snow removal and respectful interactions, illustrates the kind of supportive environment Landfall strives to maintain.
While some older reviews might mention a perception of decline or issues with past management, it's important to focus on the current and ongoing efforts by the city to maintain and improve the community. Landfall is committed to perpetual affordability and ensuring residents have input into their living environment. Understanding the community's unique governance, its commitment to low lot rents, and the amenities it provides is essential for prospective residents. This guide will delve into these practical aspects, offering transparent information about Landfall Mobile Home Park so that Minnesota locals can make well-informed decisions about their housing future. Whether you are seeking an affordable entry into homeownership, a stable long-term residence, or simply a friendly and well-kept community, Landfall offers a compelling proposition.
Landfall Mobile Home Park is located at 50 Aspen Way, Landfall, MN 55128, USA. This places it within Washington County, a part of the vibrant Twin Cities metropolitan area. The City of Landfall itself is unique, known as one of Minnesota's smallest incorporated cities, consisting primarily of the manufactured home park and a few commercial businesses. This geographic and administrative singularity contributes to its strong community identity.
The park's location offers excellent accessibility to the wider metropolitan area. Situated near I-94, residents have quick and convenient access to downtown Saint Paul, Minneapolis, and numerous surrounding suburbs. This makes commuting for work, accessing diverse cultural attractions, or enjoying entertainment venues incredibly easy. Within a 5-mile radius of Landfall, residents will find a multitude of shopping areas, ensuring that daily necessities, retail therapy, and dining options are always within easy reach. The presence of nearby cities like Oakdale, which provides essential services such as fire, water, and ambulance, further enhances the convenience and safety of living in Landfall.
One of the significant advantages of Landfall's location is its proximity to public transportation. The community is right on a small lake (Tanners Lake) and is poised to benefit significantly from the new Gold Line bus rapid transit (BRT), which will include a stop near the edge of the city. While current bus service may be less frequent, the Gold Line promises to enhance accessibility, making it easier for residents, including those who do not drive, to travel throughout the metro area. This commitment to improving transit options demonstrates Landfall's forward-thinking approach to serving its residents. While new construction in the broader area might increase traffic, the internal roads of the park are generally well-maintained, and the small-town feel within the community remains largely undisturbed, making it an accessible and convenient choice for Minnesota families.

Landfall Reviews
Place going down hill since last manager Lee and Troy crew left in heaven. Never forgotten.
Jan 25, 2025 · Bridget “Bridge” BennettGreat place it does have its ups and down just like any other place. Great place to raise your family. The thing that will give you a headache is really nosey neighbors and winter time with all the snow. One sad thing about Landfall we lost an amazing maintenance guy Troy who would go above and beyond and above all very respectful. He will be missed especially on snow days where he would help and remove snow if he seen you struggling.
Mar 25, 2024 · RosalindaThey are friendly and they will do what they can to make your stay pleasant.
