Mobile home parks like La Siesta provide an alternative to traditional housing, often appealing to individuals looking for a more streamlined living experience or a community tailored to specific age groups. Our aim is to provide factual insights into what La Siesta Park offers, helping prospective residents in Arizona make informed decisions about their next home. This community is designed for individuals aged 55 and older, providing a specific demographic focus that many residents find appealing for a quieter lifestyle.
La Siesta Park is conveniently located at 900 N San Marcos Dr #41, Apache Junction, AZ 85120, USA. This central Apache Junction address places residents within easy reach of local amenities and services. The park's proximity to a main road means good accessibility for those traveling by car, though it's important to note that this can also lead to significant road noise, as mentioned by some residents. For Arizona locals, this location offers a blend of accessibility to the broader East Valley, including shopping centers, medical facilities, and various dining options, while still being nestled in the unique landscape of Apache Junction. The local area is known for its stunning desert views and its gateway status to the Superstition Mountains, offering a backdrop of natural beauty. However, for those seeking a quieter environment, the road noise is a factor to consider.
As a mobile home park, La Siesta Park focuses on providing essential services for comfortable long-term living. While some amenities found in resort-style communities may not be present, the park aims to offer the fundamentals for its residents.
- 55+ Community: La Siesta Park is designated as a 55+ community, though some residents have noted that there are individuals under this age residing in the park. This age restriction is intended to foster a mature and often quieter living environment.
- No Pets Policy: It's important for prospective residents to be aware that La Siesta Park enforces a strict "no pets" policy, with no exceptions. This is a significant factor for individuals who own pets or plan to.
- On-site Laundry Facilities: The park provides laundry facilities, including washers and dryers for resident use. However, some reviews indicate that several machines are often out of order, and the quality can be marginal.
- Utility Management: Residents are advised to note their meter readings upon moving in, suggesting that utilities like water and electricity are managed and billed individually. Concerns about low water pressure have been raised.
- Parking Arrangement: A unique aspect noted by residents is the parking setup, where cars are typically parked on the opposite side of the mobile home door. This is an uncommon layout that new residents should be aware of.
While La Siesta Park may not feature extensive "resort" amenities, it offers several characteristics that define the living experience for its residents.
- Community for Seniors: The park's primary highlight is its focus on providing a community for individuals aged 55 and over. This can lead to a more homogenous demographic and a potentially quieter atmosphere, appealing to those seeking an age-restricted environment.
- Affordable Living Option: Mobile home parks often present a more affordable housing solution compared to traditional homes, and La Siesta Park likely falls into this category, appealing to those looking for cost-effective living in Arizona.
- Independent Living: Reviews suggest a "self-service" environment, with management not consistently on-site. This implies a higher degree of independence for residents in managing their daily living.
- Tree Stumps: A recent change noted by residents is the cutting down of trees, leaving 4-5 foot stumps. While this might alter the aesthetic, it's a factual change to the park's landscaping.
- Proximity to Main Road: The park's location next to a main road is a consistent feature. While it offers accessibility, the resulting significant road noise is a recurring comment from residents.
- Ongoing Maintenance Concerns: Residents have highlighted issues with the condition of pavement, inconsistent toilet paper availability in bathrooms, and frequent non-working washers, indicating ongoing maintenance challenges.
- Water Pressure Issues: Low water pressure has been a point of concern for some residents.
- Security Concerns: Very serious allegations regarding drug-related activities and a lack of management response have been raised by residents, which is a critical point for potential residents to consider for their safety and peace of mind.

For Arizonans considering a mobile home park, La Siesta Park in Apache Junction presents itself as an option primarily for the 55+ demographic. Its suitability for locals hinges on specific priorities. If a strict 55+ community is a primary desire and affordability is a key factor, La Siesta Park might warrant consideration. Its location offers easy access to Apache Junction's amenities and the natural beauty of the Superstition Mountains. However, it is crucial for prospective residents to weigh the described features and resident feedback carefully. The "no pets" policy, potential for significant road noise, reported inconsistencies in amenity maintenance, and particularly the serious safety concerns raised by current residents regarding on-site issues and management's perceived lack of response are all critical factors to consider. For those prioritizing a truly quiet environment, resort-style amenities, consistent on-site management, or a pet-friendly community, La Siesta Park may not align with those expectations. Given the feedback, a thorough visit and direct conversation with existing residents are highly recommended for anyone in Arizona contemplating making La Siesta Park their home. Understanding the realities of a self-service environment and the specific challenges mentioned is vital to ensure it aligns with your long-term living preferences and safety expectations.

La Siesta Park Reviews
Good 55 plus park NO pets. It was nicer before they cut the trees down to 4 foot stumps. Management is not on site. There are no resort features here and they have marginal washers and dryers usually several are not working. The biggest issue we have experienced is you car is parked on the opposite side of your door which is the first time I have seen that.
Jan 28, 2023 · Gear Head55+ park with lots of people not 55. Also zero enmities, NO pets and no exceptions. Next to the main road so it is very very very loud. The only improvement they have made is to cut the trees down. Leaving a 5ft tall stump. The price keeps going up and bathrooms never have toilet paper and pavement is awful, and very low water pressure, and washers are not working often. Management is hardly ever here. It is all self service for sure. Make sure to note your meter reading when you move in. For this money you can stay at a nice park with pool and lots of resort features. Just saying….totally self serve 100% of the time - never saw anyone in the office. Spots are very very tight and parking is NOT on the door side of your RV this is the strangest setup. Some problems with drug dealers and if you smell a chemical smell they are cooking meth🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ obviously not pleasant and management seems ok with that. Which is scary 😱 in its self. But if you are here don’t complain about the meth lab or you will be evicted.
Mar 28, 2024 · MW GHHave known quite a few residents many who have moved out due to mis management, price gouging(management read the meters and charges you what they want for electric). They also put their residence safety at risk by allowing obvious drug addicts into the park because they are personal friends of management. Making residents wonder about who's managing the park.
