RV enthusiasts and travelers seek a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment for their stays, whether short-term or extended. This overview aims to provide a factual and informative perspective on Kemah RV Resort, based on recent guest experiences, to help prospective visitors make an informed decision about their lodging in the Texas Gulf Coast region.
It's important for potential guests to understand the prevailing sentiment from recent visitors. One review explicitly states, "Do not go here ever. There are cheaper nicer places less then a mile from this location." This strong feedback highlights significant concerns regarding the overall experience, citing issues with "crazy, loud, judgy" tenants and management described as "worste then prison staff." These comments suggest a challenging social environment and issues with park management responsiveness and fairness, including accusations of owners being "thieves" and dishonest. Another review, while acknowledging some positive aspects, paints a picture of a park primarily occupied by "long-term residents" and not ideal for "a family camping trip in the RV, or for a quick weekend getaway in your motorhome." Concerns about safety were also raised, with one guest stating, "my safety was a concern, and I was glad to be out of there after a week." These direct accounts are crucial for setting realistic expectations for those considering Kemah RV Resort.
Kemah RV Resort is located at 675 Miles Rd, Bacliff, TX 77518, USA. Bacliff is a community situated in Galveston County, known for its proximity to Galveston Bay and the popular Kemah Boardwalk. The park's location offers access to coastal attractions and is positioned between the major metropolitan areas of Houston and Galveston.
While the address provides geographical context, understanding the immediate surroundings, as described by a guest, is also important. One review mentions the park being "located in a not-so-great part of town." This suggests that while the general region offers tourist attractions, the immediate vicinity of the park may not align with everyone's expectations for a desirable neighborhood. However, the proximity to the Kemah Boardwalk, a popular waterfront amusement area with dining and entertainment, is often a draw for visitors to the area. Other nearby attractions include Galveston Island, known for its historic sites and beaches, and Space Center Houston, a significant educational and tourist destination. Despite these regional attractions, potential guests should consider the specific details reported about the park's immediate environment and its suitability for their type of RV trip. Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals
For Texans considering an RV park in the Bacliff area, a thorough understanding of Kemah RV Resort's characteristics, as reported by recent guests, is essential. While the park's location in Bacliff offers proximity to popular Texas attractions like the Kemah Boardwalk, Galveston Island, and Space Center Houston, the internal park environment appears to cater more to a specific demographic. It seems most suitable for those seeking a long-term, no-frills stay, particularly if they are largely self-contained and prioritize affordability over resort-style amenities and a highly structured, tourist-friendly atmosphere.
The reviews suggest that new or short-term visitors should be prepared for compact sites where privacy and noise levels might be a concern. The description of it being "located in a not-so-great part of town" and a strong emphasis on "long-term residents" implies a different dynamic than what might be expected for a family camping trip or a quick weekend getaway. For Texans who are accustomed to living in close quarters and are seeking a cost-effective, extended stay option in the area, and who are less concerned with immaculate facilities or strict adherence to rules among all residents, Kemah RV Resort might fit their needs.
Amenities like duck ponds, a small dog area, accessible dumpsters, and laundry facilities do exist, providing basic conveniences. However, concerns about the cleanliness of facilities like bathrooms and laundry, as noted in some reviews (though not directly from the provided text, derived from broader search results for context), could be a factor for some. Ultimately, for a local Texan evaluating Kemah RV Resort, it appears to be a practical choice for those with an RV who prioritize a consistent, long-term parking solution and are comfortable with a more lived-in community environment, rather than a traditional vacation-oriented RV resort. It is crucial for prospective guests to align their expectations with these reported realities to ensure a satisfactory experience.

Kemah RV Resort Reviews
Do not go here ever. There are cheaper nicer places less then a mile from this location. Tenants are crazy, loud, judgy. Management is worste then prison staff with their actions and lack thereof. The lady up front; useless and needs to be replaced. Maintenance man. Complete jerk and sits on one every night to keep up that attitude. Lastly the owners are thieves! They will steel your money, lie to you, and not do anything about it. You'll be hearing from my lawyers. Messed with wrong person, oh and im getting my money back
May 16, 2025 · Hannity LotoThis not the place for a family camping trip in the RV, or for a quick weekend getaway in your motorhome. It's located in a not-so-great part of town, and most of its occupants are long-term residents.Check in was easy, and the woman at the counter was polite and helpful. She handed me a long list of their "rules" that I was required to follow, but I noticed that quite a few of the long-term folks weren't following these same rules I was given. The spaces are pretty compact which results in being able to clearly hear everything your neighbors are doing and saying. I was in the middle between three RVs, and all of them were couples who had loud arguments, and their children who left their toys, bicycles, and garbage everywhere which repeatedly blocked me from being able to park my vehicle.Needless to say, I didn't sleep well, my safety was a concern, and I was glad to be out of there after a week.It wasn't all bad, though. They have a few duck ponds with lots of ducks, a fenced in place for dogs to do their business (very small area so I wouldn't consider it a "dog park"), easily accessible dumpsters, and lots of trees offering shade and a few picnic tables.I did not use the pool due to cooler weather, but it looked somewhat clean. I also did not use the laundry facilities, but they do have them.
Dec 14, 2024 · Jennifer DewittWifi absolutely sucks. The bathrooms are always disgusting and the showers are gross. And gotta gamble with the washers and dryers to see which ones will actually work.
Mar 01, 2025 · Steven JonesIf I could give a half star I would. This place is horrible ESPECIALLY if you have kids. Long story short, a group of drunk women (all but 1 aren't residents) basically tried to attack my 7 yr old. When brought to their attention, they did look at cameras but allowed the drunk non residents to keep coming and keep drinking at this pool. I've got video of this. On top of that they decided themselves to cut our hose connecting water to our place (have a pic of that also). So they allow drunks, people that don't live and pay them have more rights than people that do, they are very shady vandalizing things that do not belong to them. It's been issue after issue, but allowing drunk adults as well as teenagers to attack a baby and then mom (me. Have video) when asking what the problem is, that's when I can't take it anymore. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. Many children have brought to the attention of the office the how uncomfortable the "maintenance lady" makes them because she parks and watches them and takes pictures of them, but they do nothing. The 2 bottom people that work here run the place, they have straight up said if they don't like you they have the power to get you kicked out, and they have before. They do everything against the law which makes it a very scary place to be. We have genuinely been scared for our safety multiple times at that place. Sqve yourselves and NOT stay there.
